  1. Ok... The movements Panerai uses in its manual wind watches were originally pocket watches which were big and rugged movements. They were made to be rugged and durable. The cases that Pam reps are in are GREAT cases and if you have greased the orings etc. you have a watch that can just about withstand anything! Now, Asian movements are something else that I cannot comment on, but should be nearly as rugged once looked at and/or serviced by someone competent. No watch unless its a plastic digital watch is meant to be "banged" around, but these big heft Pam movements (Manual wind) are solid workhorses that can take a lot of abuse within reason. They were, afterall, in OEM form, made for the military and "good" reps are not far off from the real thing save fit finish and other minor(imho) things. Put it on, forget about it, and do what you like. If you pay a couple thousand for it, think twice about it...It might not be worth dinging up...
  2. As long as you are careful, you will not need another set of hands.
  3. Someone here sells the perfect tool for it....
  4. I just had a bunch of those made as well! I should sell them as a set, no?
  5. Sounds like a plan....I think, though, a cork screw would be better for fine wine along with fine watches...
  6. Their selling requirements are stringent. But I will go over there and see..... Thanks!
  7. For those not in US. It will be $40USD. I have to cover shipping costs overseas....Sorry...
  8. All, I am happy to report the tools are READY and in my possession! Send your orders to blackbard@mindspring.com and they will be shipped USPS Priority! Get em while they're hot!
  9. These have always been some of the most accurate. Enjoy and send to your favorite modder for any changes. The ferrari is one I've always contemplated frankenizing.
  10. Within a week or so. If you need it now I'll send you mine. Send me a pm.
  11. Just wear it a day then check functions....
  12. SPoke to the manufacturer. They are in production now. Should be ready in a week or so.
  13. Dont fit the radiomir. Fits all Luminor cases in 44mm. I have made the rad and 1950 cases before, but there is not enough business to justify producing. I have them that I can potentially loan out, but probably wont make any more. Sorry....
  14. Ok guys, I think we may have enough interest to go ahead. I'll contact my manufacturer today and update on when they will be available. Shouldnt be more than a week if he isnt busy. Thanks.
  15. I remember when I first released these here, there were people that swear by rubber balls, duct tape, etc. however, I like you have damaged watches using stuff other than a good proper tool... Got you down. If it goes through, I'll respond to this thread when available.
  16. Thanks for the positives guys. I'm tabulating the responses...
  17. Sorry for the bad pic. I'll take others if required.
  18. Hello fellow Pam Enthusiasts. Ive been requested to offer my custom made Panerai caseback tool again to the forum members. I have made these in quantity before but the interest seems to have wained up until the latest release of very nice Pams for modding. There are quite a few members on this forum and others that will attest to the quality and price of these tools. Sure, you can use a ball or tape or what have you, but if you need to "Seal" the case for water-fastness you need the proper tool. Mine are made from solid billet aluminum and are only $35 to the board. If you are interested, send me a PM and as long as I get quite a few responses, I'll go ahead and produce another batch. I know there are other tools out there, but those that have tried them have commented to me directly that mine is better made for the price. Here is a picture in case it helps you decide. This is a must for anyone doing mods to a 44mm pam!
  19. They look great Wei! Got your messages, was traveling this week. I'll ping you later....
