  1. You see, getting it right costs a bit more. Your $15 Panerai is equally hideous.
  2. You visited here from a Google link, didn't you. It's changed your preferences. See OPTIONS above? Select STANDARD.
  3. Why? Honestly what does it matter what the initial cost is? One your quality will be $3-$5. The stuff we're used to will be more. Maybe up to $20 in parts. I don't get your point. I mean I know you're going to go into this whole evil villain diatribe, revealing the price you paid (15€? 20€?) as if it's some master-plan stroke of genius but you're playing to the wrong crowd. I have a Rolex I picked up for ... what, $40 in Thailand and that was after haggling. It's rubbish compared to what we're used to, but it's vastly superior to your foil-rotored hubcap. Yes. I do. Do you? No, really, you do?
  4. By the way, check out the movement on that Bentley. That's the shittiest rotor on the nastiest movement I've ever seen. See the way it dimples where the rivets are? Eww.
  5. Website adverts are provided by companies like Google. You have no control over what appears in the box you give them. The Admin team here would not have accepted an advert like that if they had a choice.
  6. Thanks for the kind words. This bulb has a bit of a story behind it. I got it from my local Monoprix and paid for it with my VISA. It came in a pack of two, and the other one is in service in a lamp elsewhere in the house. That's it. Hey, I said a bit of a story, not an interesting story. I'm sure if you try, you'll find a trusted dealer (Try Precious Light if you're in the EU or Trusty Lamp Guy if you're elsewhere) that can deliver without customs hassle.
  7. I'd stay away if I were you. It's a good rep, but it's still a rep. You can tell by the text under the GTE SYLVANIA bit. The red is close enough in colour, but the 0124 is off-center and misaligned.
  8. Ok, if you can find this quality for under $80, I will eat my words, but otherwise I'll stand by my opinion that what you bought doesn't hold a candle to what we can buy: First up. TTK Rolex Sub, available today for $95: Next up, a Trusty Omega SMP GMT, available today for $108: Finally, a Silix Panerai 111h, available today for $110: Don't bother showing me the faux chronos or other stuff, show me these popular, well-known models in this quality for under $80. ps. The hyper-observant of you will notice that's a rare Pugwash picture of the 111h in the stock strap as all the other straps I have retail for more than the watch.
  9. Link at the bottom of the page? Are they one of the adverts? Ok, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. For the benefit of the people diligent enough to search, I'll make it plain and clear: ROLEXCENTER.NET IS A SCAM! Now, anyone searching doesn't need to spot that the stickers on the backs of the watches are wrong, or whatever they could do as simple tests.
  10. That is such a BDSM helmet ...
  11. To be honest, it depends how skinny your arms are. I have a 6.75" wrist and can wear pretty much anything from the Rolexes to Panerai 183s. If you get whatever you like, you'll get used to the size in no time. I first got a Rolex Sub and was scared by how big it was. Now, it's one of my smaller watches and even Mrs Pugwash, who thought it was too silly and way too big when I first got it, considers it a small watch. If you have a 6.5" wrist, you can pretty much wear anything apart from the real monsters.
  12. Me. I'm planning on moving as much of my rep-buying business away from paypal as possible.
  13. Because they take a year to make?
  14. That watch requires a classy understated black or redish/brown leather strap. Take it back to the 60s/70s, where dress formal meant corduroy with leather elbow-patches.
  15. This is your world, we just live in it. That's a hell of a looker, even not considering it's a parts-bin-special.
  16. MONOPRIX 60W Bulb I bought this bulb in a pack of two. It's a B6 fitting, ideal for table lamps, and is rated at 60W. The pearl (high opacity) finish is very even, apart from at the usual places. The bayonet, like on all Monoprix branded bulbs, is quite flimsy, but the insides are, I believe, some of the same filaments used in the genuine Mazda and Philips models. I've not opened it up yet so I can't comment on the argon quality. It produces excellent light, if the colour is indeed a little off (Hey, it's a replica, what do you expect!) but you'd need a chromascope to be sure, and the chances of meeting a BIS on the street with a colour-testing kit is fairly remote. All in all, I'd recommend this bulb to anyone looking for a lower-budget model.
  17. Damn, am I alone in wishing Ubi had posted a pic of bare marbletop for a photoshop funny?
  18. 1 Pugwash to hijack the thread with pics of his lightbulb. 8 Sichuans and Paulmarts to say "We got 2006 SWISS LIGHTBLUB 60W MAN no paypal" and show pics of a 40W bulb. 1 TTK to start.....poking.....fun. 85 TTK bashers seeing the big man and wanting to take a chunk out of him. 4 Mods to shut them up. 1 Ubiquitous to post a frankenbulb on a marble top. 3 Modders (Finepics, Palpatine and The Zigmeister) to show us how to lume the ceiling instead. 9 to complain how their hair is full of lume now. 1 Nanuc to post a tale about the lightbulb he destroyed (AND HOW!) ... Anyway, here's the picture of my 60W Bulb.
  19. With a long dropper.
  20. I am in bed! On the laptop, all tucked in, cats running past my head at high speed.
  21. You over-estimate the skill of the AD salesmen.
  22. Me. The end of the month when I'll be paid and stuff is next week. I don't want to hold you guys back, so count me out.
  23. answered.
  24. You mean Ken and me. However, Ubi is heading towards 2500 posts and V is almost at the 2000 mark.
  25. Ken, you and me together are over 5% of that. That's scary. One post in every twenty is either Kenberg or me.
