  1. I'm going to say ... not a lot of Photoshop then, even though it looks like torchlight has been used on the right side. Just colour and light balancing and maybe a bit of dust removal. Close?
  2. The day you do, I get rid of my green plastic.
  3. I assumed it was a composite: One shot for the gold, one for the dial.
  4. Mrs Pugwash is from Glasgow: They understand spicy just fine there. The Korma (mild dish), for instance, was beyond what the French call spicy. We like spicy food and have no fear of turning up the heat.
  5. Far be it for me to hijack this IWC thread with cookery, but Mrs Pugwash discovered a book of curry-house secrets. One eBay purchase and supermarket visit later and we have all the ingredients and recipes for British-style Indian Restaurant food. Today was spent making the stages of the base, and in huge quantities. Tonight's dinner is King Prawn Tikka Masala, Fish Korma, Potato, Cauliflower and Pea Curry and Prawn Curry, all in the style of a decent curry house. It's totally amazing and I just got the Stella in to serve as drinks. To follow it up, we're off up the hill at the end of the road to watch the French set off piles of explosives at the Eiffel Tower to celebrate Bastille Day. All is well chez Pugwash.
  6. Shot? You mean shots plural, no?
  7. As I type, my GST is in Canada with The Zigmeister. I believe in a service myself. I value my GST too much to not want it to last 5 years, and if it doesn't get a service, I doubt it'd last a year, as I use the chronos. Although, having said that, today's cooking was timed by my MoonWatch, which requires no service.
  8. That's because the site is in Europe and doesn't make any direct money off dealing Reps. The trick to prosecution is to follow the money, and in this case, it's very difficult.
  9. He did mention that the chrono was already broken. A full service could repair the chrono, to be honest, but at $175 could take the entire cost to $300. If the watch was bought as a pretty timepiece as opposed to a chrono, then a service may not be worth it.
  10. Nope, it's still illegal. Less stupid, but still illegal.
  11. Yes, it's a great watch. Where did I get it, again? I appreciate your kind words: You set the benchmark we work towards.
  12. What's the old saying? "You can't overwind an automatic". Besides, it just needs a booster (5-10 turns) and putting on your wrist.
  13. Clockwise to wind it, then wear it for a few hours.
  14. I'll give it a go as soon as these armed attack helicopters and bombers have stopped flying over my bloody appartment. It may be tricky later when they try to demolish the hill next to my house with explosives, though. All this to celebrate knocking down a prison tower? It's a bit much, eh? ps. Happy Bastille Day to all the French rephounds ...
  15. Well, you do have the Pugwatch!
  16. I've DLed and installed the OSX version and will be trying it out later today.
  17. Date, one way. Day, the other. Simple, huh?
  18. Well, colour me stupid! http://www.neatimage.com/mac/download.html
  19. Yes, but what kind of idiot makes a Windows-only Photoshop Plugin? I'm on a Mac, see.
  20. I guess I don't make as many mistakes these days.
  21. If you find a high-res shot of a rep dial and a gen dial, I'm your man. I believe this will settle my Photoshop credentials. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=8374
  22. "I've been called worse by better" Sol Star, HBO's Deadwood. I doubt that calling a dealer a scammer, in one isolated case, is exactly going to get the admins hot under the collar. It's if it becomes repeated, like Nais, that they intervene. If you're expecting Moderator intervention like you want it, you'd better get comfortable, as you could be waiting a while.
  23. We don't really have a high-enough res shot. By the way, I don't own a Santos or even have any interest in one, I just love the technical challenge.
  24. For anyone reading the Photoshop stuff in the Submariner wallpaper, this may be of interest to you. This is how this shot came off the camera:
