  1. If they've not managed it for the much-demanded Daytona, I doubt they'd do it for a low-volume baby like this.
  2. The version with a closed caseback is actually the real MoonWatch and it doesn't use Sapphire. The version with Sapphire front and back is the fancy one. You would need to remove the rotor anyway, for height issues, so I don't see the manual wind being an issue. Great idea, but the subdials would, like on the current Venus one, still be wrong.
  3. What exactly are you saying here?
  4. You know you're quite insane, right? Your pics are looking better, by the way.
  5. Here's where it's odd ... While I disagree wholeheartedly with Nemo's opinion, I still buy reps. I know it's basically criminal and in theory undermines intellectual property laws, laws that fed and clothed me for a period of my life when I was a games publisher, but I gotta have me some watchy goodness. It is wrong, it is illegal, it is costing some honest Joe cash, but I needs me some Rolex, Omega or Panerai action.
  6. More like 40%, which is the same as a lot of retailers. A Jewellers will make a lot more on the jewellery they sell than the watches.
  7. They are sometimes badly lubed, but the movement is so damned good, that it's not as big a deal as on other movements. It has been confirmed by Trusty this very day that the lubing on 2836s in reps may be sub-par, and yet you never hear complaints: that's how good they are.
  8. Amazing watch. I am jealous.
  9. My ISP in France is blocked as well.
  10. I have addressed this point in my post above.
  11. No, it's a 'swiss' movement, as opposed to a Swiss movement. If it's never been to Switzerland, you are not legally permitted to pot Swiss Made on it. This means that even though they print Swiss Made on the rotor, until it's been fettled by a bloke who likes his cheese holey and thinks a cuckoo clock is a good wall adornment, it can't be called Swiss Made. From the Swiss Watch Industry info page: and
  12. That is precisely what I am saying. The 50% can be in value as opposed to parts. One expensive service in Geneva or a swiss-made overpriced cog is allowed as the 50%. If it comes from China and is put in a case, it cannot be called a Swiss movement.
  13. I always thought a Freudian Slip was sexy underwear, worn by your mother.
  14. It's because by law they have to. If they arrive 100% Chinese, they can't call their watches Swiss.
  15. This is what the high-end houses do to the ETAs. Chinese rep ETAs are put in watches in the exact same condition they're shipped off to Switzerland in, which may not be their best.
  16. Andrew, I applaud your coming here and defending your product and stating how much you stand by it. This reminds me of Precious Time standing by his gold. We should feel lucky and proud (not luckyyy) to have dealers that come here, tell us what's in their reps and do so without insulting other dealers or misleading us. Now, if they can just all get on the same page about Sapphire/Mineral Glass, we'd be in Rep heaven.
  17. Didn't Edge just win one? We'll soon have all the info we need.
  18. Edge means CONDEMNS, not condones.
  19. Also, if you look, you'll find ... http://www.rwg.cc/members/uploads/remoteim...85370-29514.jpg http://www.rwg.cc/members/uploads/remoteim...85370-29515.gif I looked for the Paulmart logo, but couldn't find it Still, Paulmart hasn't started using the STAFF fakes on his main site: http://www.aspire-eshop.com/images/productimages/
  20. mmm ... pretty!
  21. Why have the same "Fraud" section then?
  22. He said [censored]-ter. (chortle)
  23. Add Jason Chang to the list. Domain name: bestswiss-watches.com Registrant: Name: Jason Chang Organization: Hao Da LTD. CO. Address: INDUSTRAL AREA,ER GUAN LIN,PIN HU, City: SZ Country: CN Postal Code: 518031
  24. This is a known pseudo-luxury brand. From http://www.chronocentric.com/watches/counterfeit.shtml Three specific brands known to play the luxury watch imposter game are: Klaus Kobec -- Advertises heavily in magazines as being comparable to US$2,000+ watches, with a retail price of US$900, but can be yours for only US$200. Krug Baumen -- Sold on auction sites. Claims "RRP" in the £475-625 (US$900-1,200) range, yet they routinely sell in the £15-50 (US$30-100) range. Even has an impressive looking official website for the brand. Montre Suisse -- Sold on auction sites especially in the United Kingdom, often in bulk lots of 5 to 10 pieces. Claims a retail price of £129.99 (approximately US$250), yet are sold in any quantity you want for less than £5.99 (US$12) each. Ironically, their name translates to "Swiss style." Caveat Emptor, I guess.
  25. Oh? This entire site is dedicated to snitching on scammers, isn't it?
