  1. Wearing this 10 plus year old rep today. INGENIEUR.lnk Sorry the pic doesn't show. Something unusual happened during the process. I'll try again later.
  2. You are right. We see a lot more gens these days than two three years ago. As you say, keep them coming.
  3. I was browsing some older magazines and I run into a Cartier ladies watch Calandre in the shapoe of stirup. Beautiful watch. Then, a couple of weeks ago I saw a Ralph Laurean mens Chronograph with the same shape. This was a 38mm wide and 42 mm North/South. Beautiful watch. Then I found two available in the internet, but they want 5 K for a steel cased one and 7.5 K for the gold version. That's a lot of money for a designer's fashion watch. I wonder if there is a replica version of the watch.
  4. Thank you for your comments. You are right . Being a legal watch there should grounds for asking the platform to force the buyer to return the watch, as he has already been refunded the the money he paid for it. sadly I guess I came across a scammer, who skillfully planned a scheme to get a refund and keep the watch.
  5. Hi fellow members: I usually write one or two messages per month and I never mix bad personal experiences with a fun forums like this. This time I'll do it. I have bought and sold watches (reps and gens) for many years and I have never gone through what experience now. Let me briefly explain the situation. About two months ago i sold a gen watch through o-boy. I had done this before without incident. But this time I run into a buyer that turned out being a real bad ass. I sold him Tag Heuer Monza watch watch for $1.500 and as soon as he got it, he claimed I had misrepresented the watch on my post, because the crown was not original. I hadn't even noticed this. I told him I was sorry but I was willing to pay for an OEM crown, to make things right. So he said no as he wanted a refund. I told him I saw no reason for such a h petition when I could pay for the original crown. Then there was a long silence from him, after which he claimed he wanted $ 1.000 for the crown. I told him that was absurd as this part was $ 175 ans I thought a watchmaker could put the new crown for 50 dollars at most. After a prolonged silence I received a message from oboy saying that I had 4 days for solving the problem or a case would be opened against me . Still I thought I could try again to settle the situation, but there was no message from this person saying anything about my counteroffer to negotiate a solution to the dispute. To make the story short in the end the case was closed against me and oboy charged my credit card with the refund, plus the tax the buyer had paid for importing the watch. I was very upset and wrote a message asking the Customer Support if this was legal and they said, it was because the time frame for reaching agreement over the dispute had expired. On top of this, besides receiving the refund for the watch, for which I paid, the buyer feels he is allowed to keep the watch as well. My questions are: this legal ? can a buyer get a refund and at the same time keep the watch that he failed to return ? This is really beyond my comprehension. I'm sorry for sharing these thoughts, but I have nobody to ask for advice on what to do. Thank you for reading his post.
  6. I really like it. 50 plus years old and runs great. Yes, you can find one for the less than one K. That's what I paid, plus 400 for VAT and import taxes.
  7. Enjoying this classic on Sunday.
  8. Thank you Jim and Nanuq for your comments. I feel good when you have positive opinion about this Sub. I am retired now and funds for modding it are scarce. So I'm only going to "age" a little bit, for a more"realistic" look. Any suggestion on how to accomplish this goal ?
  9. Bougt this Sub sometime ago in this forum. I'd appreciate opinions about its credibility as a middle of the rod replica.
  10. Production year was1968. Fifty two years old and running perfect.
  11. Great information on venerable reps from the past. I tend to prefer these versions over the more contemporary. Here is pìc of my gen, which I hope will never have to sell.
  12. This is a replica bought from a rwgmember about 10 years a go ? what do you8 think ?
  13. Seconds hand and tool marks on the 12 :00 o'clock are special, no doubt. That and who knows what else make this piece special. I was looking for SK for a long time. Finally found this near perfect condition example. Looking for a decent KS strap and clasp clasp now. They are rare finds !!! Here a couple of additional pics. Thank you for your comments
  14. Wearing this KS from the late 60s today. I think older Seikos, like Swiss classics, have something to say when it comes to collecting.
  15. Beautiful watch. I posted a pic of my RO some time ago and I was told by a senior member of the forum, that I should have abstained of doing that, because of the low quality of my replica. I think that your's rock !!!
  16. Here is a Milgauss whose current version (IMO) does not match its unique presence.
  17. Quite different when compared to the "standard" Daytona. Is the Rolex coronet engraved on the crystal ?
  18. Great pics and information on old divers in this thread. Tomorrow I'll look for an old Sicura from the 70's that is somewhere in my storage area, and I'll take some pics to share. .
  19. Hi brothers. I've been looking for a Girard Perregaux Time Control Traveller Chronograph. I'm crazy about his piece and I cannot find a decent replica in the internet. None of our trusted dealers seems carry the rose gold version, which is the one I want. Can someone tell me where to find ?I found one a couple of days ago from a Chinese dealer but they want me to send the funds to by western union transfer. I'd rather use visa or pay pal. The name of this dealer is watchesjob.com Please, let me know if you know whre to look. Thank you
  20. These watches are real art pieces from an era when you didn't see the crowd of divers that flood the market today, at prices that are absolutely out of this world. I'll never let mine go. Best
  21. Wearing an "Aeronautique" militare homage to the classic PAM, this morning
  22. Old school Sub with Swiis ETA, bought in this forum about 10 years ago. They don't make them like this anymore.
