A member over on RepGeek just got DSNs new 127 and the movement looks nothing like that. The engraving looks totally new and looks GREAT. The bevel on the gears looks fine.

Just want to point out that a Jimmy Fu CG is wrong for a Pre-V watch. -
Where did you get that caseback? I ordered a DSN for my project, but would like that one as the fonts are better.

Calling on the experts... Need a strap suggestion for my 3717

I just ordered the same strap, is it good quality? I've had rep kevlar style straps and they have been horrible. How does this one hold up? -

I just bought a strap from The Watch Boys (thewatchboys.com). I haven't gotten it yet, but they had good prices. It's not croc, but it's cheap: http://www.thewatchboys.com/iwc-style-straps-21mm-c-5_9.html They have croc, but again, it's out of your price range: -
Sausage and see through case back.

Wow, that aged Tritium looks would be awesome and the dial feet would help a lot!! Looking forward to seeing what comes out. I've got one of your V1 dials with The Zigmeister now doing his handy work with the lume, but it would be nice to see out of the box lume and dial feet. Thanks for all your hard work FGD.

And yes it was possible....another mod to my ultimate Big Pilot

Now we just need to find a source for extra date wheels... -
Well the version with the working power reserve has the wrong lug size (24mm and the Gen & V1 (fixed PR) has 22mm) and the V1 dial won't fit into it. I've heard rumors that they are going to be releasing a new version with different hands, but it's just a rumor.

I pmed you a few weeks back about doing an FGD dial just like this and I just got back on RWG to PM you this morning and it said you weren't accepting PMs. This is EXACTLY what I want you to do to my dial. I'm not sure if you aren't taking anymore work or what, but if you want to do another dial and hand set EXACTLY like this, please PM me as that looks amazing!

GREAT WATCH! I'm going to have one with pretty much the exact same parts, but with a swiss 6497, and the case came that came from you will be off to Avitt
-
Thanks, the bronze color is starting to grown on me.

I ordered one with a "cannon pin" fix and "Superlume" and I got one with shaved hands, not a H3 cannon pin, and slightly better, but far from Superlume. Puretime used to have great stuff, but lately the quality has gone down hill, pretty fast.

Yes they do, but they are supposed to be Pink Gold. It looks better in person than in the pictures.
-
It actually wears pretty small as I think more Rads do. This is my first Rad, but I wear a 47mm 127 and this rad wears much smaller.

Here are some more pictures. I'll leave the review to the pros, but here are some info: Dial: Pros The markers are clean cut and the 1 has the sharp point Color on text is good LUME! Cons Fonts are all wrong Numbers are too thin compared to the gen Hands and outer ring are copper colored instead of gold Since this is a 6497 instead of the Minerva, the mark to the left of the second hand is too small due to second position It seems to have a glossy finish instead of Matte Case: Pros Amazing finish, the brushed Ti is great! The crystal has pretty good AR with very very very minimal blue It's real Ti Cons I now see the difference in DSN's Radiomir cases, they are too round compared to the squarish gen case The engraving is pretty bad, the engraving I got for my dog tag at PetSmart at those automated machines had better engraving I can't blame anyone for this, but the closed caseback, meh, it doesn't bother me as anything you do it, it's wrong Crown is wrong Knowing all this, I would still order it again. I've got a Ti bug and I just can't handle the Ti CGs on the historic models, so this will fill my Ti PAM need for a while. Almost forgot the lume. Both of these pictures are 1 second exposures however changing the ISO from 100 to 800 makes a big difference.

What's up with his casebacks though?
-
One thing about this case that has not been mentioned was the lug holes? They appear to be like the DSN case, where they are too large for the standard prev screw system:
-
No, they are recessed. That is why I took two pictures of each number; one with the light on top, one with the light on the right shining left (it produces the shadows. You can see here:

You are going to laugh, but it's actually the stock lens. However it's mounted backwards with a reverse ring adapter. That is why the DOF is so shallow as I can't adjust the aperture on the stock 18-55mm lens. Here are some quick pics of the setup:

I'm a newbie to RWG however I'm a pretty active member on RG. After seeing Rolli's collection, I was inspired to do a 201/A. I told myself that I'd try and find parts here and there to build a perfect 201/A. Well, I started out with finding a 0348 serial caseback and V crown guard. That started my search. The next day I bought all the rest of the parts for the perfect 201/A. Parts List FGD 201/A Dial DSN 201/A Hands DSN Pre-V Case DSN Swiss ETA6497 Eddie Lee 201/A Caseback V Crown Guard T 48 Crown Gen Pre-V Dirk Buckle with Strap from VDB I'm not sure if I plan on using the DSN case as the V CG might have some problems fitting to the case. I ordered a spare case from a dealer on RG that appears to have shorter lugs just incase. One thing though, is this DSN case looks like the lugs are too short/fat. Anyone care to chime in? My T crown arrived: The rest of the goodies arrived (12/10): I also took a bunch of macro photos of the dial:
-
wow, that's great with the Gen movement. Hmmmmm.....
-
There was a post over on RepGeek about a Silix dial that has the correct logo; he swapped just the dial.
-
I am in the process of building a PAM232 and I've looked an no one has a correct caseback.
-
Wow, that is incredible!
