Tremendous!

I got my watch back from my friend who changed the dial and hands. Now it is running a little slow. I would say 1-2 minutes a day. It is a sub with a 2836-2 movement. What do you think happened? Before it was about 5-6 seconds off a day. My guess is dust in it or he hit the adjustment thingy. What would be a good course of action?

You like it better than your vintage daytona?

Arthur that was a wonderful story! I enjoyed reading it.

I have two complete watches all ready from DW that have 7750 movements. One is getting repaired. I just wondered because it is easier to get eta 7750 parts.
-
Is there are particular dial configuration that has to be used? I am confused about how that works.

Thanks guys! I only have a set of jewelers screw drivers and a case press. I have these from the old days when my parents had a jewelry store.

I would like to be able to remove hands from a dial and put them back on again. This would seem a reasonable start to doing things in this hobby. Where can I buy such tools and what tools would you suggest? Thanks! Any other basic tool suggestions are welcome as well.

It is interesting that you posted this. I had a BKmariner and I upgraded to the gen construction Euromariner case. This was before BK had the WM9. Yesterday I just upgraded that to a WM9 v2 dial and hand set. I love the glow of the super luminova. I am very happy with this watch. A while back I got a watch material pearl as well.

All we need know is this in a 19mm....

wow! I REALLY like that!

I have not seen in recent times so many Valjoux 72 watches with movements on the bay!

It is good to hear that. Spin does a great job on these. I figured it woud be something like that.
-
Thanks zig I was not sure. I think I know who to ask now ;-)

The auto winding mechanism was removed along with the rotor. Spin has not responded to my pm's or email requests for his address to send for repair so I am not sure what he thinks.

I have a 7750 6263 that was built by Spinmaster about 6 months ago. I was winding it one day when all of a sudden it did not feel right. Now it does not wind properly. It runs for a very short period of time and then starts and stops. I want to get it repaired but I need someone who works on this type of movement. Can you please suggest someone?
Note: Spinmaster does a very good job building these watches. I do not think it is his fault. The watch ran great for 6 months. Sometimes mechanical watches need to be repaired. It is the nature of the beast with having a mechanical watch.

Well after 4 weeks my watchmaker decided he is not going to repair the watch. He said he did not know what parts are interchangeable with a swiss 7750. I think he does not really have the know how to work on a 7750. So the watch laid untouched for four weeks and now I am back where I started. I can send it back to Spinmaster in Singapore. I hate to send it overseas what are the chances of getting it back safely? Also, is there any other option. I am really frustrated at this point.

Lorenzo that dial really looks nice!

So Trusty has the new 1665 for $98. I think that is really cheap! Based on the asian copy movement in it. Can another more accurate dial be added? If so what would be a good source for one. I know there has been a lot talk on this watch and the inaccuracies but for $98 heck it sounds like a good deal for a practice mod watch. Also, which version would be the best to get? Trusty 1665

Do you have a link for the $98 one. I cannot find it.

$98?

MT thanks for the suggestions. I have another friend that actually works on watches all the time. He would be the one to look at this. When I take it to him I will bring up your suggestions. The watch is running 2-3 minutes slow each day instead of 5-6 seconds slow like it was before. It was on a timing machine several weeks ago.
