  1. Yup saw your comparison but having problem with SL. They don't seem to be answering my emails. and I am still early in my modding journey. So don't want to waste money on expensive lumes only to screw em up (not that I can get hold of em in the first place...) Thanks for the input guys.
  2. Congrats on your new watch. Didn't know that buying reps is such an "adventure" for you guys in Europe. Learn something new everyday here
  3. I missed out on my PAM 183 (which started it all off) which is currently sitting on my wrist as I type....
  4. Just to let you guys know that I've been hooked to RWG ever since I stumbled upon this board about a month back. In this one month, I've gained more info and insights on reps than all the 3 years I've collecting reps and my... have I been busy..... Here's what I've been up to: Confirmed: PAM111H coming in from Puretime. PAM 112 dial PAM 127 dial and crystal Projections: IWC Aquatimer Slevin - I'd prefer a fully modded one (lume is [censored] on that one) but I'd make do with standard rep. Bitten quite bad by the bug it seems....
  5. For that price, I'd rather get an Asian PAM 1xx. It come with hands, a dial, movt (asian granted) faux leather strap all of which can be used as spares in projects imho of coz...
  6. Thanks. Ordered the glow paints... will now order the stickers and spray paint... all for the love of watches.
  7. Hi Guys, I know it's here somewhere but can 't find it. Search not much help either. Can someone recommended another medium for binding lume powder? I ran out of the binder type II supplied by Noctilumina. On another matter, have anyone tried readysetglow's latest glow paints? http://www.readysetglo.com/Glowpaint_water_bases.asp Looks very tempting!!! my rep lume sucks big time..... Kindest Regards Siesta
  8. Thanks Justa, a bit clearer now on the MBW now.... will check the dealer section. And yup being a supporter does help..... Thanks
  9. Thailand you say...... Hmmmm hope I can find a good 1860 when I am in Bangkok next month
  10. THanks Tor... Excellent referral. Will probably get the 1860 during my trip to Bangkok in July.... Cheers
  11. Hi Guys, Noobie to the rolex brand here. So please lower your flame volume..... What does MBWs, MBKs etc.... mean with regards to a rolex. Serached the forum for 2 says now, just don't seem to get the idea. I am interested in the vintage rolexs but am getting a bit lost with all these acronyms. Noob seeking to learn.
  12. upgraded my membership to supporter. Wanted to do this earlier coz I much rather have an annual one time fee instead of the 5 bucks a month thingy. The missus does go thru my bills sometimes... I don't like to do the "what is this USD 5 for" explaining bit. Keep the forum going....

    PAM

If you ask me... all reps have flaws, short cannon pinion, bad lume, wrong font... and the list goes on. its all about which flaw you are able to live with most. Having said that, I would go for the PAM 111. I have always like the small seconds counter. But that's just me. Cheers *Which dealer are you getting these beauties from by the way?
  14. Hi Mark, Sad to say, no luck.... my dealer in China refuses to sell me parts, kept telling me that it's cheaper for me to buy a new watch as a whole. Sigh... Let me know if you come across any. Cheers
  15. Hi kruzer00, Thanks for the info... Being a noob to this forum, I don't know what can or cannot (from what I have read, almost any mod is possible) be done to a rep watch. Will check with my dealer in China. Was very impressed with some of the modification work done on rep PAMs. Impressive. If only there were good modders where I am from, that would be nice... sigh. Cheers
  16. Hi Guys, Didn't know there was such a strong support group for Panerai replica owners. Newbie here so bear with me if topics raised have been covered before. Is there a reliable source for Panerai parts... cases, dials hands etc. Owned a couple of rep pams which by sheer usage have become worse (I mean much worse) from wear. It's a pity coz the movements are still going strong. Would like to get my hands dirty in refurbishing these watches.... Any parts dealer you guys can recommend? Thanks in advance
