Wow guys thanks for all the responses! I know its been done because a member posted sometime ago with a V1 or 2 and went down something like 2000m WITH BOTH THE REP AND THE GEN! The only difference is the rep instantly started to oxidize due to the pressure. The gen stayed true (probably the 904l steel). But the rep didn't have any issues other than oxidation! Does anyone know where I can find a gen or aftermarket HEV besides the bay?

Alright well I am not sure how vested you are in the discussion but Ill take a shot... Obama economy stimulus to me mainly meant bailing out big corporations which under a free market would have failed. As it is now there is little faith in the economy and we are STILL seeing swings and fear has stayed at similar levels. I was really glad that you said "History Books" because really that was the basis of my argument against Obama. I feel there are many things Roosevelt did right which Obama REALLY needs to fix. The glass-steagall act being the biggest. The second though... Is my question Why do you think Obama is handing out unemployment benefits year after year instead of promoting government work programs? To me this is what really pisses hard working americans off. Ok you lost your job... that sucks... now you want to sit on your butt for 4 years while Obama pays you using money that he doesn't really have? Why isnt the government offering jobs to people? Painting, doing road work, cleaning up the streets, hell ANYTHING to get these welfare bums up off thier butts working! The results of the work programs during the 30's were FANTASTIC! People felt like they were DOING something and getting paid! What is Obama's mission if all he is doing is keeping the unemployed doing just that! Also at the history book comment... I know that was meant to raze. If you want to post an actual link or source I would look it over. I have done a lot of research on this and his economic policy is just plain FLAWED!

I remember sometime ago we had an actual deepsea diver post his experience with both the rep and the gen rolex deepsea. The rep ACTUALLY WORKED in pressures of 2000m! Vly I had a project like this I tried to do sometime ago if you remember It ended up falling through though. First of all DONT SILKSCREEN it will look awful! You want PAD PRINTING! Second expect to pay upwards of 100-200 for a 1 off of a dial. I have no idea the cost associated with the art. I ended up only finding one guy in Europe who ended up getting [censored] and blocking me when I was trying to work out a working dial design (he just wanted to get paid and I didn't even know if he could do the work!) If you do find someone CONUS I am still interested in putting my family crest on my pam... SOMEDAY BABY!

So after reading up you can Adonize stainless steel, I am leaning towards powercoating though as I want a very dark blue and its seems like the paint coat would weigh less.

Modding and taking apart my watches is a true pleasure. It has been a blast. ATM I have a project that I have wanted to do for years and know I dont have the skills yet. But I have help from the modders here to do everything I want. I dont ever tell people my watches are "gen". Nope, I built them and then I go off from there. Usually people are so impressed they are just heads over heals impressed. Of course being a med student going surgeon that is an expert with my hands because of my watchwork.... well that line works pretty well on the ladies

Good for you researching rosa. Definitely stick with the dealers here. If you really want a 332 I think your best bet would be to pvd coat one yourself. EDIT: Also there is a rumor that noob is working on a bunch of pam reps for christmas release. So maybe wait a month or two?

You do realize that Rolex is the number 1 recognized brand IN THE WORLD? Its a great company with a great history. All of which pale compared to its marketing department!

Kent Parks of Everest Watch Works is a solid choice. He has usually has a 1-2 month turn around though as he does mostly all GEN watches. His work is just fantastic though. I mean literally AMAZING.

careful that you get a good angle on your pin and dont end up shaving a pin that looks like a dome.
