My n00bie tip
I also got my Discovery with the exact same problem as you and i posted about it here:
hxxp://www.rwg.cc/members/Ebel-1911-Discovery-Chron-t92234.html&hl=slask
I just wore mine for a few days and then used the chrono. When pushing reset button the marker went back to 12h position. Happy days
Best of luck.
The letter they sent me stated it was a watch. They didnt mention what brand though. Ebel is not the biggest brand out there so that might have helped.
I have had an Ebel stuck in Swedish customs and they wanted to know the value. Got a letter home saying contact customs, reps may be illegal yadiyada. My explanation was that a friend sent me a gift, dont know what it is but he told me it was worth around 50$ bla bla. I had to pay 12$ in VAT and it was released to me immediately.
Now USE the search function ;D
Welcome to the board, im sure you will find precisely what you need here. If it is about watches that is. Try the "Watch Collectors" section first, most dealers have PAM`s. Good luck.
I have the Ebel 1911 with black dial and even if it is a great rep i would myself go for the Explorer II, its a beauty in white.
Or.... get them both you know you want to ;p
Oki if a list is made pls consider the following. Think about the power of this list. It will within a few weeks (probably) be WIDLEY known over the world (forums/blogs/finaly the media). Ppl will pay 15 bucks (short membership) just to be able to get ahold of that list. After a week it will be spread all over the Internet. When that happends dealers/the gen industri will/ might come down on you. Just think about the exposure you will get with this list outside this forum, is that what we want?
Sorry for beeing a party pooper but you/we really need to think about all aspects, not just helping n00bs like me.
Thnx, now i dont have to spend days inhere anymore. Just give me a link to the best sub, maybe just a 1-click shop?
Sorry but couldnt resist the irony. But my point is that let the n00bs (me) spend some time here reading, learning, discovering and finaly finding the ultimate rep (im still looking though). If we dont buy the best rep right away we havent read enough anyhow right?
my2c
I would also opt for the more "unusual" reps as the Ebel 1911, PAMs in general and why not the TAG Link you mentioned. Just stay away from the "classic" reps and you will be fine
Welcome to the forum.
The Zigmeister im going to Thailand in a few weeks. Any good shop you could recommend for service on the asian 7750 near bangkok? sry for the offtopic q.
Congrats to the Ebel 1911 and welcome
I think some ppl would say that you should use that search button, im sure all information needed can be found here using that. But in general i believe that the movement could be different, same with the crystal and non working chronos etc. Good luck in your quest.

just one rule: no mods allowed, so it has to be something that comes as it is from the seller. ..
I think it must be said that a few of the watches on theese lists do require mods to be "perfect". Lets stay on topic even though its hard since there are so many "98%" reps lately
*ebel, ebel, ebel, ebel, ebel, ebel..."
Oh i dont own 10 reps so cant give you a top10. But i recently bought the Ebel 1911 and thats just outstanding out of the box.
