Pre-flight checks wearing Breitling Bently
Breitling Avenger Hercules rests on top of a Remington 870 Mag Express 12ga. which rests on my quad core PC

it's funny looking sure, probably 99% of people will find it just plain ugly (I'm part of the 1% ) - but looks is only part of it - it's an engineering marvel and that's worth mucho points in my book You must give props to Zenith for pushing the industry - this is one of the great advancements is horology like it or not - be impressed with the technology instead of the looks, they can put that gimbal balance into many various designs that will appeal to more but the fact is that this is a very impressive piece of mechanics
agreed - and an easy fix
I wouldn't worry about the balance wheel either, that's what the shock system is for - I mean, this is just golf we're talking about - not boxing
Unless your an actor or some type of artist or sports star, to get a $10mil home, you'll have to manage your money very well and make a good deal of smart moves in your life -
a $100,000 watch may not be one of them
having said that, with that type of money, I'd have a hard time not buying a $500,000 Zenith Zero-G
as a side note, the 21J is not an actual movement but a general term given to all kinds of cheap asian movements - gregs VC in his avatar is a 21J and has a good load of retrograding complications - I use to think 21J's were non complicated movements as pugwash indicated - the term is being loosely used by dealers. Some 21Js will have better reliability than others
It would be nice if the industry would start naming the exact movement used such as a DG2813 or DG4813 (which are actually 22 jewel) or more elaborate movements such as DG3884B with a power reserve meter or an ML7101 with fake tourbillion
personally, quartz is the worst option for anything - If I see a brand like rolex, breitling, Panerai, etc. and see ticking - I think very cheap fake - If I see a constantly sweeping seconds hand, I don't consider it a fake unless I can spot another "tell"
If you want a working chrono for whatever reason - there are many nice gen Seiko watches
let's agree to disagree
There is obviously a large market for quartz reps and for good reason
my gen navi has it's chrono hand constantly moving - the way I like it
from my experience, most people will think your watch is fake if they don't see any hands moving or if they see a ticking hand - very few know anything bout watches
people admire that smooth sweeping hand - it's a noobs method of spotting fakes imo
if you want a cheap working chrono only the A7750 will do
what do you need to time anyhow? almost no one uses their chrono's
but respect - to each his own - I'll keep ranting against quartz though - I'll get through sooner or later
I wrote that wearing a quartz movement OMG LOL
but I have an excuse - I know better now and would never buy anything quartz after seeing what you can have for $100
just the thought of that little $3 movement made of plastic... I'll only wear the quartz around the house doing some work - I'm renovating my gf office atm
anyone speaking of quartz should be automatically banned - I see the seconds hand "ticking" from a mile away - literally a mile, i have really good sight
if you want a working $50 chrono - buy a casio
