  8. ah, a meat eating vegan but yea, I can understand seeing a cute sheep like that could be disturbing for some I've been hunting and eating animals since I entered this world - it's natural for me - and strangely those pics actually give me an appetite but for some how to say.. "city folk" maybe... i can understand their views, not really seeing what goes on behind the closed doors of animal farms and buying the meat after it's butchered and nicely packed for sale. it's the inhumane slaughter houses that people should be upset about - animal cruelty disturbs me greatly but I can clearly see from Johns pics a .22 looks well placed behind the ear for instant death - people should applaud that I admire Johns lifestyle - I've never said that before - I guess I should have - John is doing something I've always wanted to do - f.uck the city life and stress - move to a parcel of land and live in the wild - land is so cheap here too - the town I grew up in had a population of 2500, I'd skip school to go hunting for birds as a kid - my dad just sent me a large box of moose. idk, people need to just be reasonable and informed.
  9. can't seem to find a movement by catalog, I'll ask him in person next time I go there so i can measure them in person - was there today to buy a good press (with aluminum dies), cap cod cloth and other tools - some pics of the NOS parts couldn't hurt - I'm thinking about the movement holder -probably a plastic one would be best? so you can dremel it down to fit? the quartz movements will be thin anyhow so should be no prob with thickness I have next to no expertise but I'm willing to help and learn as I do so
  10. is dani a vegan?
  11. f.uck man - this is what I got today! http://www.virnadani.com/IWC/iwc-review.jpg I'm a little upset that the guy hasn't even send a tracking number yet - said he would give it to me 2 days ago - I thought buying from a fellow board member would prove more reliable than our Chinese friends - nope I'll continue to hang tight
  12. how so - practically all we've been talking about was German cars Mecedes Benz Audi BMW and your VW too

  17. if you're looking for the wrong thread, you're in the right thread
  18. uhm.. yep... I feel it coming on... adding the baby powder... and....
  19. AMG does add some nice styling but I'm not sure it's worth your money I believe they add skirts, rims and stiffer suspension - meh... if you want to race it, sure - the kit does make the benz look better though so I can't knock it too much also, what's up with that 5.5liter engine? didn't you want a 2-3 liter the E55 must be faster than the S550 being a lighter car - go greg
  20. lol, that'll put a hamper on this thread is that a TAG your wearing to clean that sheep?
  21. glad we're on the same page greg - and for the younger guys - YES, we are getting old Many real estate agents around here love the benz (high mileage drivers), the build quality on the pre 2000 year is exceptional (before Crysler got their hands into it) but after a few years apparently the quality came back - I love the new S550 and will probably get one once the prices drop more - 150k miles is just getting those engines broken in My S420 has about that and it purrs like a kitten. I wouldn't mind a 1999 S600 - I may opt for that one AMG E55 wow - I'm not sure I would recommend that one - but I'm sure it's fun to drive - if you were looking in that price range, I'd suggest going up to the S class I remember when I was in my 20's, Mercedes Benz looked fugly - I thought only old farts would drive them - now I'm head over heels in love with them - getting a C class for my gf soon after talking with so many different mechanics, it only strengthened my bond with them - they make a damn good car Canadian winters are harsh and they spam salt all over the roads - cars rust fast but after 10 years my car looks and drives new - it's a freaking tank
  22. last I heard from her was 6 days ago - i sent back a broken watch a month ago - still no word I'm pretty sure my watch is a goner
