interesting, sounds like an Asian 7750 movement then 100GBP = about $170 US - sounds a little cheap for an A7750 though The auto wind mechanism is always operational - as for the buttons - there is the top and bottom buttons and the middle is the "crown" which pulls out 2 clicks - the 1st click is the date set and the 2nd click is the time set (don't set the date when the time is between 7:00 and 2:00 as this can damage the movement) the top button starts the chrono and a second push will stop it - the bottom button will reset it by chance does the seconds "tick" on each second or is it a smooth sweeping motion? do you have a link from where you bought this watch?

Wind it 100x the moment you get it - you can't over wind it and the movement needs a period to "break in" with full power - one wind is about 1/2 to 2/3 of a full turn - turn it steadily and in a clock wise direction remember not to set the date between 7:00 and 2:00 as this can damage the movement

you need to wind that puppy 100x, not 1x it's a good idea, when you get your watch, to wind it to full power - it needs a little break in time to work the oil and wear the metal (like breaking in your new car engine) - new movements have more load on them until they run for a while many will disagree with the 100x - you can always give it 30-40 winds if you feel more comfortable but you can't over wind it, it's built to slip when it reaches the end once it reaches full power - then see how she goes - remember not to set the date while the time is between 7:00 and 2:00 as this can damage it the lume @ 4 is poor - as others have said, risky to return - this is what you get with drop shipping in future, you have the option to use a dealer that will send you pics 1st before the watch is shipped or you can use a dealer that will go the extra mile and do quality control
