I actually owned an Aston very briefly in the eighties (when I was a lot better off than I am now). This was back when you could still get a good original DBS for under
Very nice indeed, Oli. I'll admit the whole secs@ 6 issue tends to scare me off buying a 'tona, but that's a seriously good looking watch and I'm pleased to hear that it's working well. Enjoy!
erk - sorry that didn't work out so well. There but for the grace of God.... etc...
This has certainly made me re-think my whole outlook on buying reps second-hand. I think I'll stick to new...
On a more upbeat note, however, some of those straps look damned good for $3.50...
Well that's true
However, given that I've managed to destroy one watch (my first VC) and scratch the hell out of two others this year (neither of them anything decent, fortunately), my doctor tells me that it's better for my blood pressure if I don't buy gens
I'm a little too good at finding out how the shock absorbing mechanism works without actively trying to break it, thank you. Why do you think I buy reps? lol
LOL - I hear that, and it's one of the reasons why I wear reps too. I could afford a gen or two, but given that I've completely destroyed one rep and scratched the hell out of two others so far this year, I don't think my blood pressure could handle gen ownership
lol - no. Not yet. Pay attention at the back
I've had the AMG on loan for the weekend - goes back this morning and I'm reduced to driving a crappy courtesy car until the insurance company make up their mind to write off the one with the tree in it.... I'm hoping it'll be this week.
Meantime I know _where_ I'm buying the replacement and also know that it's going to be an E-class. Whether I go the whole hog and buy the AMG is yet to be decided.
hehe - then all you'll need are the chrome rims and we're back at McDonald's car park at midnight
You wouldn't believe how popular small Citroens are with the custom crowd over here....
Okay, it's finally run down. Having checked the time-keeping, it's certainly within seconds per day. Without an actual second-hand, however, I can't be any more definitive than that. Power reserve is about 32 hours.
