  1. Don't be too hard on yourself - at least 50% of us (probably much more) have done the exact same thing. Welcome to the group - make yourself at home and have a good read; there's a LOT of useful stuff on here
  2. Yep, the bezel works - the upper crown adjusts it. It's auto ('Asian ETA' 28,800bph as I said in my original post - there's a 21J version around too). I've not tried to use it in water, though - although it's survived usual handwashing etc without signs of misting up. Love the watch - it's my 'weekend' watch usually - doesn't look quite right at work, somehow
  3. hahaha - I wish it WAS the 10th. Friday. Yaaay
  4. Real nice IWC ya got there....
  5. I was just about to say how nice it was.... but what happened to the subdial hands in the last pic?
  6. hahaha, then my job here is done
  7. Okay, here's mine... 'Clone' ETA 28,800bph, excellent rubber strap. Downsides are no AR and feeble lume. Got it via a friend who does business in China - not seen this exact model on any of the regular dealers' sites, though - although the 21J version is fairly easy to find.
  8. Well, they're pretending to be Perfect Clones (Josh), which sets alarm bells ringing immediately. Just take look at the top left corner of the site. Scammer for sure. Do yourself a favour - stick to the recommended dealers on here and the other boards (check the links section as well as the dealer subforums). You'll save yourself a lot of grief.
  9. If it looks too good to be true, trust me, it is...
  10. Here's a good one http://www.omeganuts.com/images/bond/007spedn.jpg
  11. OMG. Dave bought a Rollie *faints dead away* Looks pretty good, mate - not perfect, for sure, but not at all shabby. I'm almost tempted myself.... You should see us when we're at home!
  12. hmm - no, but I'd have happily paid $30 for the Omega
  13. The Omega looks pretty darned good for $60. Not entirely accurate, true, but it certainly captures the style of the gen - has a real 'vintage' feel about it. Nice going! Wish I could say the same for the Glashutte... not one of your better finds IMO...
  14. *wanders off sheepishly* Yessir...
  15. I'd like one of these: http://www.poshwatch.co.uk/panerai/pamtourbillon.html
  16. and that's the one I'd have posted if I had a copy of the RWG1 database like you do........ Watch 'em both - you can't have too many tourbys. There's an interesting video of the Panerai tourby out there too if I could only find it again...
  17. By the way, Oscar - this is, I think, what the rep is trying to look like: There are some similarities, but they got the whole thing upside down....
  18. ROFL! Yeah, it certainly looks like it.
  19. The fake tourby is just an exposed balance wheel. Here's a video of a real tourbillon movement: I HAVE to buy one some day soon - the chinese tourby movement is extraordinary value and a real work of art....
  20. Looks like a scam site to me - the description is bogus and the photo looks to be a gen (actually, I don't think there is a rep of this watch). If you get a watch at all, it won't be what you thought you were buying.... Stick to the recommended dealers. If you can't find what you want, try emailing one of the major dealers (Josh, Eurotimez, Ruby, Andrew) to see if they can find it for you. Chances are, however, if they can't find it for you, it doesn't exist.
  21. Yep - that's probably a good idea. Hopefully, although Bluehost are still going to be crap, a newer, more efficient version of Invision PB (the old version we've been using is very resource-heavy) will get us set up for some considerable time. If Blade will then co-operate and allow us to contribute (hell, even appoint a co-admin), then maybe we can keep the place going for a while without this kinda thing happening again.
  22. JB has an account over on RWI.
