  7. c'mon people step up and pay the man....
  8. I hear you - Everytime I handle my gen Panerai vs. my reps I have the same feeling
  9. I meant Arabic...and by the way we are saying the same thing as far as how it should be
  10. I have just looked at the real deal at an AD and the minute markers are identical to my Panda Rep - they are slightly recessed all of them; the roman numbers look a little different on the gen. So please if there are any pictures that show what you mean that would be appreciated. Here is one that show a gen with the recessed minute markers:
  11. trust me yours is nicer than mine, much thicker I have already taken mine off again and put a non deployment Europelli Black Shell Cordovan with Luminova stitching on it, so I have a little green in the strap - I will post pictures soon. cheers
  12. I measured it on my Panda dial version and it is 20/18
  13. we will see how the rep blue compares...hope it doesn't look like the pictures from watchhonpo
  14. just paid thought I waited a couple of days since I didn't want PP to get suspicious :-) Now I will have 3 IWC Portugieser Chronos...how sick is that ;-) If anybody nows a good source for a nice croc/alliagator strap please let us know. thanks
  15. the gen also has a 7750 modified for IWC and no the subdial spacing is not different Rep vs. Gen
  16. thanks folks :-) the strap is a little to thin though when you have it on the wrist
  17. thanks M8 I will try that
  18. wow, where did you get that? I would change that in a heartbeat if I were you, if not PM me and I will take it off your hands ;-)
  19. Interesting post about the new IWC Portugieser Chrono on Timezone Timzone IWC Replica post
  20. that could also be, however I think the factory that made the old one might be out of business/shut down than since none of the dealers offer that model anymore @Rolli: sorry for taking over your post here ;-)
  21. great watch and very nice superlume shot
  22. so one fix could be to buy a 50 and change the take te date wheel and put it into a let's say 92....I have to think about that :-)
  23. @Pugwash compare your watch with pictures of my old 196 Here and you will notice the differences: New 196 subdials are smaller than gen/old rep, AR coated crystal on yours , correct seconds tick marks on yours , bezel wider/flatter the gen/old rep, not sure about the case back, but I believe yours doesn't have the Gxxxx/xxxx on it does it?, the old rep doesn't have the Luminor engarving on the back This all shows the old story about replica makers fixing flaws and introduce new ones at the same time
