there are no good blue faced Panerai's available at this time - the 3 that are out are all full of flaws or are low quality. I wish they would rep the Firenze editions

as far as I understood The Zigmeister when asking the question it would be possible, however pointless because the Asian movement is fine - I also suggested a Swiss 7750 swap - problem are the running seconds at 6 transfer gears

Rob - thanks for your update on my watch - I was happy at first when I heard that only the silver one had a real issue but after having learned this now about the blue one I am crushed and will definetly stay away from modified movements in the future - the worst part is that I still have another Portugieser that is just waiting for issues to develop....

That should teach us all a lesson: "Don't buy highly modified reps" unless you like good looking paperweights

sorry m8t I beg to differ, it might not be silver but an off white with a sparkle (silver particles) which can even be seen from quite a distance - a friend of mine has the original and I have the rep we compared side by side join the River Fan club!

exactly - I didn't know what it is called if this and the Messerschmitt flaw would be fixed I would even consider spending $888

oh yeah, I almost forgot

I have just bought a swiss 7750 movement for a little over $200! For $888 as offered by Joshua I could have The Zigmeister brush a Asian 7750 version, fit the swiss movement, fully service the movement, which should not even be required, get it relumed and have a real AR coating applied and I would still come out lower than $888 For that money I would consider buying a used Navitimer... After all we are talking about a $4k watch here and used you can get one for a little over $2k
