  1. cool, good luck with your mods and wear it well
  2. @Pugwash the bezel on the new 196 is wider and flatter than the genuine and the previous 196 replicas, however the dial is more accurate (doesn't have the additional seconds tick mark like the older ones) I am trying to digg up some pictures for comparison
  3. just realized that your CG lever is in the wrong position it is supposed to be flipping up not down
  4. nice now you just have to get the Davidsen AR coated crystal and the longer cannon pin and than sell it to me
  5. if you already own a Asian 7750 you can not transplant a 7753 into it since the date position is slightly different. I guess one of the reasons to do this is that the "correct case and bezel" 7753 196 is no longer available.
  6. nice one! is this the BOB Vertigo Cashmere? I also like your - I assume - Davidsen PVD - wear it well
  7. I just wish he would sell to me...must have said something in the past that rubbed him the wrong way :-(
  8. Panerai's get a custom made date wheel and the replica makers use the standard one that comes with the Asian or the Swiss movement. Since they use those movements for different watches it would certainly not be economical for them to custom make a Panerai specific date wheel. Mark (Finepics) is working on one - please search the forum
  9. no they don't....
  10. Her is what I just sent to Rolli in a PM: "so he must have taken the Swiss 7750 and mixed it with parts of the Asian 7750? The date shows clearly that ther is a gear above the date disc (which is uniques to the Asian 7750) the original date disc has the gear below, hence the date is closer to the date window. The Zigmeister worte a report about this and I own an Asian 7750 version of the 196 and a Swiss 7753 one. Furthermore he would have to have transfered the subdials with extra gears. He must really be good your watchmaker ;-)"
  11. seems like Joshua is still selling those Here is the link to his Paul Newman Daytona
  12. mine worked fine in the beginning and stopped working after about 7 months....I won't even consider to get it fixed
  13. a beauty :-) It must be an Asian 7750 Valijoux though since the SWISS 7750 Valjoux can't be fitted into the 196 would have to be a 7753 and looking at your date window tells me it is not. Hope you didn't get scammed by the seller
  14. my true love guess everybody knows that given my avatar
  15. guess you mean 188 hands since the 196 hands are silver - in case you are asking whether he has hands for the 196 - haven't seen any
  16. Welcome Pamlover996 :-) I guess I don't have to tell you what my favorite brand is :-)
  17. YellowHat - welcome! I see that you own some German watches, makes me proude being orginally from there ;-) cheers
  18. that hasn't changed much there, even when I spent my time in the German Army we were allowed to have a cold one for lunch - only when I was stationed in Bavaria though other states in Germany don't allow that. Bavaria rules
  19. thanks M8 I appreciate your tips. Since I don't have a Dremel I will ask The Zigmeister to do this for me once I send the 212 to him
  20. this is great, hopefully everybody who reads this post and isn't a supporter yet will follow "everthingape" and my example and upgrade their membership right away..... :-)
  21. would you take a cape cod cloth to polish the pushers and do you have to take them out or is it enough to take of the crown guard? BTW: I already have time scheduled with The Zigmeister to get the superlume done, guess next step is to buy the 188 hands from David ;-)
  22. Admin: Well written :-) I can not believe how demanding/rude some people can be considering that they benefit greatly from this forum and its members contributions. I am not yet a supporter of RWG, but will upgrade my membership immediately... thanks for running this forum and hope you will be able to continue running it
  23. thanks for the tips I was already planning to get it superlumed, but will consider grinding down the lever and upgrading the hands.
