Good responses. I agree with all of them.Visual accuracy has improved dramatically. Mechanically, and Lume, date font issues, etc. need to worked on.
Asian movements are improving but would like to see more swiss versions. We've shown that we'll spend the money. Especially for Chrono's.
.......last, but not least...........QUALITY CONTROL.
I received mine from Joshua last friday. Dead on Arrival. I took it to my watchsmith (who is really a watchmaker) and left it with him. Came back today and he said, "I just serviced it and reassembled and it has been running fine. I asked him about the movement and extra gears. He just shrugged and said everything works fine. Never mentioned the tight fit, etc.. Actually smiled and said the Chinese are very inventive fellows.
Could it just be a problem on some (hands, etc.) and not on others?
MIne works fine now and chrono's reset perfectly.
I must have missed this thread.
Mark, I only know you from your voice on the forums, and for me, you're a treasure for this hobby. Enjoy "retirement" and I for one am glad you're sticking around. I've learned a lot from you.
I've got more than 25 watches with that movement. I wear them......I put them on winders........never had a problem.
BTW, I have both watches and the Tag gets more wrist time. It's such a beauty. Nothing wrong with the PO. It just doesn't have the panache of the Tag chrono.
