  1. Today is AP City of Sails day: And Tomorrow is VC Overseas day:
  2. Interesting problem. I'm using a mac and both Safari and Netscape and haven't had that problem at all. I always get the horizontal scroll bar.
  3. Happy Birthday, Dave. You are missed!
  4. I've only been seriously collecting for the last three years and have accumulated maybe 70+ watches. Obviously, most sit in the box but still get worn occasionally. but even the earlier reps with crappy movements generally still work. I'm lucky and have a good watchsmith who gets a kick out of my reps and, although I haven't serviced any yet, when they need repair he does it for a reasonable price. I don't think I've spent more than $60 on any one yet. I've only had three crap out and they were easy fixes for him. I've got watch winders and each one hits a winder for three/four days every month. Maybe that helps. I agree with Gunnar. I can't see throwing them away. I sort of get attached. Do I think they have a soul? Hum.............. Do I need to get a life? Hum............
  5. would you believe, not a drop in So. California??
  6. The Zigmeister, another fantastic lesson. You've really become adept at this and the time you take to explain it to us is beyond words...... except to say thank you.
  7. Here is a couple of mine that I wear for those dressy moments:
  8. Very nice. Wouldn't it be great if this became a regular feature from our dealers. The bar has already been set. thanks Joshua
  9. Welcome Corgi, too bad about RWG1. I go over there when I'm bored reading about watches. I'll miss it too. ramblin, ramblin, ramblin................
  10. I've been paying so much attention to the new generation of reps, It's Time to give my vintage Rollie's a check: Today: MBW James Bond sub Tomorrow: 5512 Sunday: 6234
  11. Great review....wonderful and rare movement. Looking forward to seeing the results as usual!
  12. From my perspective I'm buying a replica watch, so I assume I get a replica movement. I have a LOT of watches and they ALL work fine over the years. I don't pay for Swiss (except on rare occasions) so frankly I don't care if they come from China or Nambia, as long as they work.....and they do.
  13. It is a beautiful watch. Not sure it's for me, and since everyone seems to be looking for BIG watches 39mm probably isn't going to cut it, unfortunately.
  14. The Zigmeister, what an amazing job of resurrecting a beautiful watch. You're work is an inspiration.I happen to have an original '66 Bond I picked up a several years ago and appreciate the work you've put into it. I'll keep a look out for an original bracelet for you. Wow!
  15. In fact their's does have a carbon fiber dial and the hands are actually correct!
  16. James Brown was one of my all time favorites. Bob Dylan once said years ago, "If I could come back as someone else it would be James Brown!". He lived with a flair and died with a flair.........on Christmas day.
  17. If only it had the usual flaws it would be much cheaper. We could than [censored] about it while wearing and enjoying it. Damn you guys for getting it right!
  18. Wearing my Tag Senna today Merry Christmas!
