  1. I'm easy to please (most of the time). I see a watch and compare it to the real deal. I like it....It's really close to the real deal.....I buy it. When I get it the first thing I do after I spend too much time unwrapping the damn thing is PUT IT ON. I wear it for awhile and then I look at it real closely. Maybe I'll spot the flaws and maybe I won't. Nevertheless, I'm pleased as hell. BTW, I've got a lot of gens and you know what? I have more problems with them then I do with the reps.... and I have a lot more reps. All in all, I respect those looking for perfection. For me, it's in the eye of the beholder.
  2. Well, today, my newest: Tomorrow: IWC UTC
  3. I love this thread. A long time ago i figured out that the advertising was BS. I didn't care since I was buying forgeries. I solved the dilemna by adding the following on everything advertised: "like". for example: like saphire, like eta, etc. . I am much less anal about the movement, with some exceptions. As long as the movement works I'm a happy camper. As neil pointed out, to me 1:1 means size....period. 1:1 should only be referred to for dimensions. I applaud you guys who want perfection in advertising. If you can accomplish it here, it will be the model for the rest of the world....and I don't mean the rep world!
  4. Congratulations Admin. Hopefully, you will achieve everything you want! You deserve it.
  5. Yup. Only problem is that I was gonna pick up the white dial and there is no gen of the white only silver and black and "pink". I already have a ton of black faced watches, so maybe the "Pink" or champagne colored one.
  6. Aaaah, thanks Kruzer. Actually, that would make this more collectable since the gen manual is so rare. As for the mistake on the caseback......doesn't bother me. probably 500 people in the world know what the original should be......and I'm not showing it to them anyway
  7. Kruzer, your response confused me . The original is a manual, no date watch. BTW, what's the mistake on the caseback? thanks
  8. If you like it.....get it. It's a beautiful watch. I know the real deal rather well, and this is pretty damn close... even with it's flaws. Boy, we've gotten picky! a year ago we would have all drooled over how close it is. Now, even MINOR flaws are enough to turn people off. I'm considering it, even though it may not be my style, just cause it is such a unique brand. Personally, the fact that it is a very expensive watch is what turns me on. How many here have even seen this watch before, let alone become expert in how it should look?.....without a 3x loupe?
  9. Today is Omega Day: Saturday is Omega Day: Sunday is.....Omega Day:
  10. It's been around awhile, but it's still hilarious
  11. Does this mean rep versions will be available soon???
  12. Try googling it. You'll come up with many hits. Also try the LV website. They have good pics. It appears to be pretty damn accurate. Nice watch!
  13. Great thread. It's interesting how the latest "dujour" watches seem to get everyones attention. However, If we're talking about closest to perfect, then this is probably the closest (and it came out a year ago).....in my opinion: FM Conquistador with same movement as original:
  14. Today, the one Rolex that doesn't get enough wrist time, but should:
  15. Neil, just caught up with this thread. Sorry to hear about your illness and glad you're getting the best of it. Why not investigate US Banks with offshore branch's such as Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, etc. I travel a lot and use citibank and chase all over the world. Can't speak for Thailand. This would help many here in the states who might have an account in one of these, because wire transfers are generally free. I'm sure you'll figure something out. You're stuff is still the best and you're one off's are second to none.
  16. Josh and Andrew now have it as well.
  17. Today: Tag Senna Saturday: my newest aquisition: Sunday: My fun watch
  18. After reading the thread of the decline of Rolex, I thought I'd pay them a little attention. Today: LV Tomorrow: 4062
  19. Well, Looks like Rolex is going into the dumper..........despite the fact that they are still the best selling luxury watch made.........the reps just suck. Goodbye Rolex!
  20. Yes.................from someone with BIG breasts
