I don't see the reasoning behind owning a gen and not enjoying it personally but as you say some are of staggering value so that makes a pretty good argument on its own I guess. Any one here with a new Silver Santos 100 ? I read up on the old RWG site about faults such as the deployment and the SWISS MADE (which I believe still exists although the dep has been fixed) but the posts seem quite out of date now. Just wondering if there is a new version and if anyone has bought one of these recently ? Pics would be great too Cheers

Was in Kingthsbridge yesterday at the new / temporary Armani store right next to the Watches of Switzerland having just drooled over some IWC and Franck Muller King's (their Panerai collection was only 3 or 4 40mm's and a radiomir) looking at some jeans when a guy in his mid 40's walks up and points to the watch and goes.. "Panerai ?" while holding his wrist out with a sparkling 088. I go, yes.. you on Paneristi ? to see if he knew what he was on about and he goes with a big smile on his face "YES MATE ! YOU" My reply was "I visit the site, but don't really post" which got the ball rolling and we chatted for about 5 mins and he couldn't bare it anymore and asked if he could try on my 092, as he had considered getting that before deciding on the 88 but he wanted his first purchase to be from a AD and not online. I said of course he could as long as I could try on his 88 After a few min we handed the watches back to each other and confident he hadn't clocked on it was a rep (mainly due to him saying he really really wants a 092 now as well) I felt like it was time to let him into our little secret, mostly because he was a really nice guy. The guy was absolutely gob smacked, he stood there and just could not believe it was a rep asking me to examine it again having just given it the once over. I explained the whole high quality rep market (without letting on too much such as this site) and gave him Joshua's website and he said he is off to get himself a 092. Gave him my email as he said he'd like some more info So a rather interesting meeting, I have seen a few Panerai's around town but this was something else. The down side is I really want a bloody 088 now and the OEM straps are absolutely amazing that I'm going to have to get myself some. p.s Hi Neil, if you find this site

Got this a couple weeks ago but forgot to post photos, real nice strap although as expected the suede is not ideal for rainy weather Feels like the ideal strap for the summer due to the suede finish and light colour

Haha I used to think they looked likea bad case of acne or like boils or something but its kinda grown on me and due to many designers using ostrich on their bags and belts and stuff its surprisingly known by many (gf knew immediately which was surprising)

I wanted a slightly exotic / dressy strap and since Hktan is still working on mine I figured these BOB's would do nicely for the time being, plus the price isin't too bad at all if you don't like them. Not sure on which colour to go for I went for Dark Brown & Black. Quality is great as is typical with BOB, nice thickness and the grain doesn't look too bad at all having compard it to a real ostrich (although that was the yellowy one which I don't personally like). Overall I like it, makes a nice change from gator imo. Check it out

Lovely shots ! black light really does a number on the lume. Okay so after seeing these pictures I felt that my crown on the Silix version was a bit anorexic plus the fact that TWG says they are all super lume made me bite the bullet for one of his and sell the other during a bit of watch box cleaning as I figured price difference would only be about half of what id have to pay it have it re-lumed. Andrew's arrived yesterday and I'm slightly disappointed as the crown is the same size as the other, lume seems about the same as well - there is one noticeable difference though and that is the lettering on the bezel is a lot smoother and doesn't get caught as much. I guess moral of the story, grass is always greener, dont eat yellow snow or something like that and finepics got a great deal

Had this with my 196 but it seems a lot quieter now or it could just be that I am used to it, though some 7750's are a lot louder then others as I found out when I picked up two more 196's for friends. Any chance you can post some pics of your 92 pls ? Am curious to see how the bezel is compared to the asian version
