Sorry about the size, I did not make it any bigger. That is what is attached as. I will pay more attention in the future.
I thought it looked suspect. Makes me wonder about the crystal being gen as well. Oh well, another item to add to my list of upgrades, lol.
Thanks for the input.

I purchased this watch and am on the never ending road of modifying it. I was told when I purchased the watch that the crown and tube were gen. I have no reason not to beleive the seller but thought I would get everyones opion as I keep coming across posts on the 24-702 crown and am more unsure of mine.
Thanks in advance

While I will not bee selling the watch as a gen or doing ay "high interest flauntig" it is something that I have an interest in doing. I know that the serial is not correct and it would bother me. Maybe it is a touch of OCD I guess, lol.

Well I took my band off of my older MBW 1665 DRSD today to find out what the serial number was on the case. Now I do not know what to do. My dial is a Mark IV dial that the best I can find was manufactured up to about 1977 with serial numbers ending in low 5 million. Well my serial number is 5.7 million which clearly falls out of the time period where Double Red dials were used. So what do I do now? I can continue with creating a version of the Mark IV and ignore this or go another route. My serial number falls right around the cut off where I could use a "Rail" dial, or just use a White 1665. Anyways, thought I would run this across everoyne and see what would be my path of least resistance. Sourcing a case with correct serial numbers for the dial, or sourcing a new dial for the correct serial numbers I have. Anyways thought I would ask.

The do have pics. Go to Eurotimez88.com and after the xml screen loads click on "new watches 2009" then click on "mbk_rlx_1-1_DW" for the pics.

I hope they do as that is what I am planning on using it for.

Eurotimez now does have the silver open 6 and nine, flat top 3 date discs for eta 2824/2836. They are 20 bucks each. I ordered two of them and will post pics when I get them.

I would be interested in a few, if nothing else to experiment on for that price.

I currently have an older MBW 1665 w/ eta 2836. I have been trying to source a date disc that has both the open 6's and 9's as well as the flat top 3's. My question is will a Rolex date disc from a 16800 work on the eta movement?

I just bought an older MBW 1665 DRSD off of a fellow member. It is my first vintage Rollie. Upon further research, I am noticing that the date disc on the watch appears to look to modern. I am trying to remedy this problem. So I have a few questions that I would love to have some help with.
1.Do they make an aftermarket older style date disc for the 2836 movement?
IF NOT
2. Will a 1570 date disc fit onto a 2836 movement?
AND
2. Will a MBW dial work with a 1570 date disc?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Like the title says, I was surfing the net looking for some parts for my 1665 project I will be starting. I ran across a few old dial that are said to be Gens. The first is a sub and the site is asking only 250 for it, the second is the GMT and is going for 300.
Thought I would see if anyone had any thoughts on the authenticity and price of them.
Thanks

just wanted to say hello. I am very happy to find this forum to help clarify the blinding amount of crap out there. I have been looking for a while at purchasing a rep but was not sure about quality issues. There is more than enough here for me to learn and I look forward to getting to know alot of you. I am a members of Timezone and Watchnet as I have owned several gens in the past.

I don't think I can wait a month...........................

So I am wanting to buy a GMT 2 and after speaking to BK I realize that it will be over a month before I can get one from him. He is away on vacation for the remainder of the month and said it would take a week or so to build so I estimate it would put me at the end of April before I could get it. I have scoured the forums looking for a used Transformer or Coke Bezel on to no avail! Is there another dealer that I can get one from and be happy with. I have read many reviews and am torn. Will I regret not waiting later? Anyways thought I would get some advice on alternatives to BK's GMT as it appears that no one is selling any and I am not sure I can wait.
Thanks
Joe
