  1. So I am wanting to buy a GMT 2 and after speaking to BK I realize that it will be over a month before I can get one from him. He is away on vacation for the remainder of the month and said it would take a week or so to build so I estimate it would put me at the end of April before I could get it. I have scoured the forums looking for a used Transformer or Coke Bezel on to no avail! Is there another dealer that I can get one from and be happy with. I have read many reviews and am torn. Will I regret not waiting later? Anyways thought I would get some advice on alternatives to BK's GMT as it appears that no one is selling any and I am not sure I can wait.

    Thanks

  2. Sorry about the size, I did not make it any bigger. That is what is attached as. I will pay more attention in the future.

I thought it looked suspect. Makes me wonder about the crystal being gen as well. Oh well, another item to add to my list of upgrades, lol.

    Thanks for the input.

  3. I purchased this watch and am on the never ending road of modifying it. I was told when I purchased the watch that the crown and tube were gen. I have no reason not to beleive the seller but thought I would get everyones opion as I keep coming across posts on the 24-702 crown and am more unsure of mine.

    Thanks in advance

  4. Well I took my band off of my older MBW 1665 DRSD today to find out what the serial number was on the case. Now I do not know what to do. My dial is a Mark IV dial that the best I can find was manufactured up to about 1977 with serial numbers ending in low 5 million. Well my serial number is 5.7 million which clearly falls out of the time period where Double Red dials were used. So what do I do now? I can continue with creating a version of the Mark IV and ignore this or go another route. My serial number falls right around the cut off where I could use a "Rail" dial, or just use a White 1665. Anyways, thought I would run this across everoyne and see what would be my path of least resistance. Sourcing a case with correct serial numbers for the dial, or sourcing a new dial for the correct serial numbers I have. Anyways thought I would ask.

  5. I just bought an older MBW 1665 DRSD off of a fellow member. It is my first vintage Rollie. Upon further research, I am noticing that the date disc on the watch appears to look to modern. I am trying to remedy this problem. So I have a few questions that I would love to have some help with.

1.Do they make an aftermarket older style date disc for the 2836 movement?

    IF NOT

    2. Will a 1570 date disc fit onto a 2836 movement?

    AND

    2. Will a MBW dial work with a 1570 date disc?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  6. Like the title says, I was surfing the net looking for some parts for my 1665 project I will be starting. I ran across a few old dial that are said to be Gens. The first is a sub and the site is asking only 250 for it, the second is the GMT and is going for 300.

Thought I would see if anyone had any thoughts on the authenticity and price of them.

    Thanks

    Joe
