Here are some pictures for comparision. The strap / lug system on the Panny can be attach straight down, while the system on the ROO is at an angle, which makes it more wider on the wrist, my observation that is. I can wear the Pam fine, but the ROO is much bigger and wider, at least on the SS, I don't have a rubber or leather to try it out, I am sure it will be less bulky and slimmer but it still not as compact as the Pam because of the angle of the lug.

I would probably will switch to DLC crown once I got tired of the SS crown. I still want to switch out the chrono pusher to SS, maybe that will spread the contrast out more evenly. Avitt, you've done awesome job, the missing paint added more character to the caseback

This 196 project took awhile to completed and a lot of $$$, and still not really finished, but here some teasers. All of the pictures taken on an angle to avoid crazy reflection. I got a Chief Double AR crystal and lost it (yes, I don't know where it is after I got it back from Chief)...... And we know the crappy AR on Pam rep... So now I have to wait for Chief next AR coating and pray I can get on the list again. I've decided to use the SS crown instead of the DLC crown, I am also thinking of switching out the two chrono pusher to SS also, thinking... And still need to find a suitable strap and send in the DLC coated buckle to strap maker... Paint the chrono second hand red or just the tip instead of entire hand. The ultimate goal for this 196 is to look the way I like, not as close to gen as possible. Parts: Old case, Hamilton 7753 movt, Lello DW. DLC and bezel painting done by Avitt. What an awesome job and gentleman to work with. Thank you Avitt. 7753 movt installed by Vaclume as well as dial relume. Vac did an amazing job, it was not an easy swap. Thank you Vac. You can also contact Vaclume (he is not a dealer on this forum, but he is on rwi and repgeek) for a very good 111H. Imo, it is a better piece than DSN. Price probably in the upper $300-400.00 though.

Anyone has both of these in collection and willing to post a size comparison? The AP looks thicker. I can barely wear 44mm Panerai and love the AP EOD. But don't want to waste money and end up not able to wear it. Thank you

I think DSN maybe will be able to make you one if you are just looking for a dial. If you looking for a completed sterile 112 watch, check with Vaclume/Flavor Flav.. They are dealers on RG.

I think what Rolli's 2nd point is: Does the top side of the CG raised instead of flat. Like the H series and later CG is thicker and raised (curve) on the top side. Where the pre H series almost flat. I can say 100% for sure that DSN's CG, even the newer one does not look or close to H series CG. Just recently got a 207A from him and the CG while on the top view does look similar on the top side, but on the side view it is just like the regular, non raised top side.

I have the DSN's 228. The dial is much lighter in person than in the picture and definately much lighter than cartel's 228 The caseback seems very much the same, DSN vs Cartel. DSN is using the same casebackas the one from cartel I think. The pictures on his website are not the current one on the caseback. The quality of caseback's engraving on the 229 is MUCH MUCH better than on the 228. But unfortunately on the 229, the tiny Officine Panerai is wrong, it spelled as Officine Paneria...

Not necessary in this forum, but the majority of Americans did not understood the distribution of our tax system.

That is one of the many reasons I did not voted for him. He is a LIAR (but I guess all politicians lie). He cannot promise something he CANNOT DELIVER. Approximately 41 percent of the U.S. population is completely outside of the federal tax system. So how can he cut tax on someone that do not pay any tax? He is a smart politician, and a good liar. Btw, we should stop blame everything on Bush this, Bush that. It is easy to blame the president because there is one name to blame. But the Congress is equally share any problems we are having.

Let just wait and see. I sincerely hope he able to work with Congress and get things done. Btw, I didn't vote for him but I still hope he will be a good President.
