  1. BTW, you can join the VC club and the PP club for about 10K for an entry level watch. Are they worth their price? It depends on what price range we're playing in here. When I look at the perfect alignment of hands, perfect print, perfect hour markers, rugged dependability of my Omega SMP Chrono Diver I spent $2500 on, the answer is yes. I have no doubt I have a bulletproof timepiece I can wear for decades. If I look at a $20,000 Patek with Complications in 18K gold that is beautiful but is like wearing a piece of fine crystal on my wrist, I'd have to say no. Personally, I'd be scared to death to wear a collector timepiece even occasionally. That Patek ad where they say "You never really own a Patek Philippe, you just take care of it for the next generation" showing a father and son WORKING ON A MOTORCYCLE ENGINE!!! is one of the dumbest pieces of advertising I've ever seen. That being said, yes I believe the one of a kind, limited editions etc priced from 20K to 500K are worth their price as collectable pieces of art deserving of reverence for the engineering and time put into them, but they are not watches to me, they are pieces of functional mechanical art. Is an $16,000 gold Cavalatra for every day use worth the price? I don't think so. Is a Quartz Seiko chrono worth $325? Absolutely not, but for the most part, a Rolex Sub for $4000 that will last for 20 years of hard wearing before any service is needed and will probably be worn by my grandson when I'm gone is, to me worth paying the price for that kind of reliability over a $200 Swiss movement replica that will quit in 4-5 years and sit in my drawer because repair will cost more than the purchase price.
  2. Soooo...Luckyy's lying that his MBW Submariner LV is made from 440 grade stainless? Doesn't sound like the guy everyone here talks about. An asian MBW Submariner? What's that?
  3. Does anyone own one? What do you think? His listing says the MBW case is water resistant to 300M. Is true water resistance a quality of the MBW watches? Is the bracelet from 440 grade stainless a big step up from the 316 grade found in most reps and can I expect this rep bracelet to feel like an original?
  4. Never. My sweat is alien powered. I wear a Casio G-Shock for workouts
  5. Never in fact, I love going into the lion's den and wear my reps into high end jewelry stores. Saturday night, my wife and I went into Bailey Banks and Biddle, a high end store outside Philadelphia where everything from Parsifals to Royal Oaks are sold. I was talking to a couple looking over Baume and Mercier watches with a salesperson when the salesperson exclaimed "Well, that Broad Arrow you have on is beautiful". Of course, I grinned from ear to ear and said "Thank you". ...And thanks Joshua!!!
  6. The clasp is standard stud catch and is shaped just like the original. The links are 30% thicker and heavier than the Moonwatch rep I got from josh and are bright polished on the ends. I own a genuine Seamaster Pro Chronograph and the bracelet, while slightly different in style, is just as robust, in fact slightly thicker than the genuine. The only issue I had was with the regulation of the movement. I couldnt live with 120+/day so I had to crack open the back and adjust the regulator, an anxiety provoking action with a new watch, but it now runs,) at least for now), as accurately as my COSC certified genuine Omega.
  7. Got this from Joshua. Watch weighs 188 grams. Bracelet is very heavy and accurate to the original. Case back is nearly perfect. Subdial spacing is an ever present issue in these asian 7750 best fit movement/dial layouts. The watch was running 2 minutes fast/dayon delivery but I've got it regulated to within 7 sec/day. Great replica
  8. Woof....what an ugly watch. That picture speaks volumes.
  9. Ok Panerai lovers, get ready to eat some raw flesh!!! Sorry for this opinion but these watches are just butt ugly! They look like light bulbs with straps. Are they really the second most copied watch in the replica world? I just don't get it.
  10. Great service is worth a few extra dollars in this game and Josh is worth every dime. Prompt communication and shipping, pre-shipping movement testing, and easy returns and replacements are all part of his customer service policy. I bought a Speedmaster Broad Arrow from him recently and paid $100 more than Paul is charging for them because I didn't want to risk getting a lemon 7750 and be up the Yangzee river without a paddle! In a business where reputations can change overnight, this guy is consistantly at the top of the game.
  11. Only the hand wind movements have the hour subdial that follows the hour hand. The one I got has an asian 7750 geared up to move the minute hand counter to 3:00 position. By Tor recommended this one in his guide to the best Omega replicas.
  12. If this was your un-insured $32,000 Infinity G35 that had a supermarket parking lot fender bender that wound up costing you $4000 out of pocket, we would all be saying you were risking disaster driving without insurance. Anything of value should be protected. I hope your homeowners will help and I think that is your best shot but most insurers protect themselves from this kind of jewelry claim unless you have opted for specific coverage . I hope raising cain gets you somewhere with the watch company but like a non-running Infinity, they will probably take the attitude that your watch has a significant value even though it is not running and choosing not to repair it is a choice you are making, not a choice the market price for repair is forcing you to make.
  13. I will post some this evening. I re-regulated the watch and it is actually losing about 1 sec every 2 hours now so I'm closing in on the optimum! I compared the bracelet to the bracelet on the Moon Watch rep and the links are considerably thicker on the Broad Arrow. I don't know if this is the case with the genuines but it is considerably heftier.
  14. The blue hand one is what I got. Josh's pictures do it justice. I can't emphasize enough how excellent this rep feels. The bracelet blows me away. I just put it on a scale at work and it weighs in at 188.5 grams.
  15. I'll upload some pics soon. First impressions are that this is a much better watch than the new SMP chrono I bought and returned two weeks ago. The bracelet is heavy and well finished and is first rate. I would buy the watch again just to canibalize the bracelet if I had a genuine that heeded a replacement The clasp works easily. The case is pretty much spot on. As with all Omega Speedmaster Automatic reps, subdial spacing is an issue but I can live with it. The only issue I have is with the asian 7750. All chronos work well but the watch was gaining enough time to make it about 2 minutes fast/day. I adjusted the regulator and have gotten it down to about +40sec/day which I consider acceptable. Lume on the hands and hour markers could be better but overall, this is a beautiful watch and very close to the original. Yes, I know the dial spacing crowd will tell me that the position of the 2 mutant dials screams rep but with hundreds of speedy varaints produced over the years, I have confidence no one will challenge its' authenticity. The feel of this watch is great, it feels heavy and well made.
  16. This is not a "Moon Watch" The automatic Speedmaster is not the watch the space program used. The manual wind caliber is and you will pay at least twice as much for one as the prices you are quoting
  17. My wife and I have extended homeowners insurance to cover loss or damage to many things including jewelry. We had to pay an extra premium for this but it's worth it. I agree, $4000 seems absurd but when you swim in $32,000 waters, expect to pay premium dues. When we talked my Chevy driving Dad into his BMW, he freaked when the 5000 mile service cost him $1500! "What the hell did you guys make me buy here. I can't afford this!" Wearing a watch priced in the 5 figures screams for some insurance. I know you probably don't want to hear any "barn door after the cow's gone" lectures but something of that value should be extensively evaluated as to its' affordability and not just the purchase price.
  18. This is semi-on topic but doesn't Omega use a base movement ETA 7750 or 7753 for their automatic Speedmasters? I know there's one in my SMP diver chrono but that's a new design. If they do, wouldn't the subdial spacing be the same?
  19. NASA bought the Omega Speedmaster they tested to flight qualify "over the counter". The Speedmaster was the only watch to meet all of their demands including some watches built from the ground up (The Bulova Accutron to name one) to satisfy the specifications. The plastic crystal was standard. NASA never had a plastic crystal pre-requisite for spaceflight. This is something of an urban legend. http://www.yorktime.com/articles/200405212862
  20. And just a comment. ALL reps have flaws. There is no perfect replica or close to perfect replica. It depends on what you are willing to live with. The Rolex's, Panerais, Omegas and Breitlings are the most copied so the replication errors are usually fewer in those watches but even watches produced in large #s can have some whoppers on them. I loved the Breitling Series Speciale until I noticed the "B" on the chrono second hand was backwards! I loved the Breitling Chrono Avenger series until it was pointed out to me the 3000M water resistance rating on the back of the beautifully engraved case said "300M". Crown guards on Submariners, date magnification cyclops issues, centered or uncentered (which is true to the original hummmm?) "Swiss Made dial printing, slight differences in subdial spacing, etc...... I'm the kind of person who tends to focus on the crooked line as soon as it's pointed out to me. The point is, the holy grail probably does not exist and anything that gets close is a champion only as long as that watch happens to be produced in that way. There doesn't appear to be much accuracy to original feedback to the manufacturers here, just production of what sells. At the top of my list 2 weeks ago was the Vacheron Overseas white dial SS bracelet. It was talked about at length here about how relativly flaw free it was in appearance until new owners started posting the bracelet screws were soft as butter and were stripping or falling out.
  21. Sorry but 54mm????? Pretty dumb looking. What's next, strapping a wall clock to our wrists with a pants belt? A Navatimer is about as big as I'll go even with my big meat paws.
  22. I have one on its' way from Joshua and according to the tracking, it should be here Wednesday. Just a recap from what has been posted here: Very accurate rep and beautiful but powered by the infamous Asian 7750 so rub that rabbit's foot! Subdial position is a bit off, a by-product issue of the movement but since the Speedy was produced in about a thousand variations, I can live with it. I'll post Wednesday evening and let you know first hand.
