  1. That's not the sort of thing you should be messing with, that watch contains a camera, poison gas cannister, two way radio, and a five megaton thermonuclear device. This is only issued to a select team of highly trained 00 agents.

This is what you must do call M on the encrypted number on the back (read it backwards).

    Good luck with the interrogation.

    Great answer mate!

  2. RWI recently established a system of regional co-ordinators for organising GTG events and muggins me got his name put foward and foolishly agreed to take on OZ.

In talking with AHW (she's co-ordinateing the co-ordinators) it was decided that due to the small number of Aussie members it would be best to run this across the two RWGs as well as RWI. So, with TT's blessing this is a call to all you members from OZ to either post here or PM me with your location and any other revelent info so I can build an idea of how many folk we can muster in various parts of the country.

If you travel to other states regualy or can do so please indercate this info as well.

I think we can muster enough folk in Melbourne to kick off there and then proberly something in Sydney that both Melbourne and Brissie/SEQ and nth coast NSW peeps as well as Syd folk may be able to attend.

Let's see just how many Aussies are out there. Any input from fellow Aussies welcome.

    Regards, Col.

  3. If I can make another suggestion: the best "noob" reps list in addition to the super reps. Many noobs, myself included, start of with a much cheaper watch than the super reps, especially given the state of the economy. Not everyone wants, or has the capacity, to drop $300 - $400 on a rep as a first step into the hobby. There are no current reviews aggregated in one place for the lower-priced reps, even though many of them would make noobs who are not sticklers for accuracy quite happy. I'm waiting for my first rep, a "low rent" one, and it took a lot of work to figure out what to get.

Now that is one hell of a good idea! Alltho none are super reps there are some damn good reps under a couple of hundred bucks and some real dross as well. Sorting the wheat from the chaff is not easy especialy when a lot of the time the folk buying these cheaper reps are not as well versed in reps (read noobs) as those buying the more expensive stuff.

Lanikai: If you wanna make it a interfora effort them by all meens we would love to help.

  4. If you must go for US based there is also WBKtime over at RWI (not on the list here but a damn good dealer IMO) but from the US you are realy safe with the China based dealer of your choice. Very rare to lose a watch to US customs and most will replace it for you if the worst happens.

  5. I'm not a Tag expert, but is that a gen? Just looks too good to be a rep somehow.

    Ummm:

Took a dial shot of my gen Aquaracer. Isn't the blue just beautiful!!!??

    Sorry Chief, couldn't resist. :)

Nice watch BT. Now stop making us jelous.

  6. Those drivers look like the same ones I got from Offshore. the're a fine driver. A little longer than the Bergeon drivers which is a good thing IMO.

When you order replacement blades just order the gen Bergeon ones. They fit perfectly.

  7. Now I don't know jack about this 'un but wot andreww said makes sence to me. That would require removing the hands however. Don't put the glue in the holes if you're not removing the dial from the MVT. You don't want tp push some thru and possibily gum up the works.

  8. Never heard of them. Prices seem reasonable but who knows what the service is like.

  9. Of cause the top end is not overpriced. Buy a Lang & Sohne or a Glasshutte and you can see where the money went but the mass manufactured stuff like Rolex, Briet etc is wayyyy over the mark. It takes a skilled watchsmith a year or more to turn out a Lang and a machine less than a day or two to make a Sub. How can you say that a watch that costs less than 500 bucks to make is not overpriced at six grand?

    Col.
