@ Ryaku
Genuine movement will almost all the replica cases. Add the movement spacer and its a snug fit.
@ Glitch
Movement came with original stem. So just had to change the crown around.
Actually, i've done a crystal swap for the 2254.5000 black SMP.
I think on Ofrei's site, its the OME-062SA3008
Omega Anti-Reflective Sapphire Crystal $149USD.
2 thing you want to consider.
1. I had trouble installing it on my case, so i had to use Adhesive to make it fit.
2. You are better off getting a flat crystal for $10USD instead, it will eliminate the glare and distortion as its not domed.
hope this helps
I did a brief breakdown in th Omega section, take a look.
as FYI, a genuine crystal was installed onto this model, not without adhesive as it wont sit in properly.
it wasn't cheap but i got most of them on a huge deal.
Nope, replica with gen insert, gen hands and gen crown. (genuine movement inside as well)
Paul's black SMP originally.
i go the long way sometimes.....
breakdown completed.
@Sam268
the crown guards on the genuine are quite different, the crown is mostly hidden by the crown guards on the genuine. Nothing i can do about it here with this replica case =(
couldn't agree more!
this watch can be worn on any occasion, it also looks very nice in the leather band - like in your picture!
well won mate!
here's mine
yes, definitely delete the picture as it shows his details.
Calm down Joe, there will always be problems as long as you run a business, just deal with it and get over it. I'm sure if you deal with this situation well, which i'm sure you are capable of, there will be just as many customers for you in the future.
thats not such a bad rep to be honest. Stop comparing the newer ones to the old closed factory reps. its not going to happen again. you will have to make the most out of the newer ones.
all i did was put in a genuine insert and crown and crown tube to get mine looking very close to the genuine.
i realised they were full of [censored] when they wanted to charge me 70USD for a omega seamaster bezel insert. lucky i didnt go down with them.
hope you get them back! bastards
you are unable to source parts to modify the 2836 to add the GMT function.
Problem is, the 2836 isn't really a GMT functional movement to start off with so thats the reason why some of the GMT 2836 have problems.
Better to find a 2893 which is a real GMT and see if you source the GMT hand that will fit on it.
yeah i'm working on the Speedmaster automatic right now. The case is smaller than the manual wind up.
I've seen quite a lot of Speedmaster automatic (one with day date function instead of chronograph) and they have solid backs, maybe you can try one of those?
good luck
