After viewing this pics you will have a better idea of the differences between the two here we go.... 4. I love it! I guess its time to do some work on mine
  5. Well here I tested a pam 177 and a Pam 036 both with "flat crystals" and the results were the same 177 036
  6. Many of the pam 127/217 owners opt for a sapphire crystal with AR upgrade. I have done a few and here are some pics to compare... Plastic, Mineral Glass or any other stuff vs. Sapphire There is a simple water drop test that tells if the "crystal" is real sapphire or not (many claim that this test is very accurate). The test is very simple...just put adrop of water on top of the crystal to be tested and if it is sapphire the water drop should form a "bead" .....let's see the test and the results! On the left is the common rep "crystal" On the right Davidsen Sapphire with AR I just placed a drop of water on top of the "crystals" After a few seconds you can see the difference the drop one on the left "crystal" spreaded all over and the drop on the right "crystal" still in a "bead" shape. Conclusion...Plastic, Mineral Glass or any other stuff on left and Real Sapphire on right. Thanks for looking! vaccum

  16. I got this PVD 195 to replace the dial with the updated version from Davidsen Here you can see the two dials side by side I did some work to the crown guard lever in order to make it feel nice and tight. Note that I tried to keep the rounded shape on the lever tip Now the CG is flush to the case with the lever closed This post is incomplete without the lume shots

  18. Sorry, I forgot to answer your ?. I can't tell 100% for sure if it will hold or not, what I know is that you can press the case back with your thumbs without a lot of pressure.

  20. I received a pam127 to do some mods (relume, cannon pinion, hands, crystal replacement, etc) So I took my caseback opener tool to remove the caseback, then I noticed that it was not flat to the case , something is not right here. So I decided to pry it off with my nails and guess what...it came off easily...I was shoked Then I took a look at the case and found this....no threads at all In order to close the caseback, which is threaded...don't ask me why, you just press it with your thumbs. Dont even think about water proof Here is my fiddy case to show the threads at the case Both cases side by side Are this watches getting better...... Thanks for watching, vaccum
  21. Very nice! What about a lume shot of the 036 vaccum
