  1. If you want the ceramic sub, look at the asian 2836 instead. Looks like the same thing except the regular asian movement (excepting the so called 316F steel ) and you save $100 As others have said the gen may continue with hollow midlinks and brushed center links, but the rep can be brushed and I'd center links: no one will see. Good watch even if its just for the glidelock clasp. Comfy! As for visual accuracy, there are a few but for ~$200 its a good rep, cant better it unless you spend x3 that, and you won't have the ceramic bezel.
  2. Thank you very much for this informative post. great stuff.
  3. if Getat can't help try panatime; http://panatime.com/setforrawaba.html $15pp for a set
  4. Avitt! You're a legend. Only a few weeks ago I was pondering whether DLCing the centre gear on a AP ROO would be worthwhile in reducing friction, rather than the graphite treatment. Here, you have done better and DLC'd the plates. The mind wanders to Daytonas, AP ROO... Marvellous work, thanks for sharing.

    Yummy

Rappers? The gaudier the better in their world. I think a chick could pull off one of these. No doubt there are people wearing these, wish we had shots of them all.
  6. Mommy and daddy bought the watch for him. I know that when I didn't care/know much about watches I never read the manual. Isn't it a bit sickening that peeps with no damned idea have such awesome watches? Maybe fake, I'd give him the benefit of doubt, just another lucky kid ignorant about watches. "Also, time sometimes stops. I think I need new batteries. So, you have to change batteries on these. So, remember that"
  7. Lovely strap and buckle, congrats. Own a 183H on H18, the thick strap really changes the look of the watch. RE: softness: at something like 4-5mm the strap is pretty thick, and not, what I would say is, soft and pliable. It will keep its shape. It is a very comfortable strap.
  8. Does anyone know if these new bracelets will fit rubberclad HBB? I am a little confused over the endlinks. The rubber HBB have the longer endlinks and all braceleted HBB have the shorter endlinks. Would like to see pictures from someone who has the bracelet fitted onto a HBB that originally came with the rubber strap/longer endlinks. Or, does the bracelet come with suitable endlinks? The rosegold looks stunning! Too bad they couldnt make it fully ceramic ala the RG ceramic HBB.
  9. The Silix one looks different to the other 'mid' SOSF on some of the other dealers websites The similarly priced perfectclones has same movement but different dial, other specs same. The dial numerals appear 'flat'. What I find confusing is the $358 one has a 2836 movement, when SOSF has no day function. The extra AR layer and seemingly superfluous mvt upgrade don't seem worth +$80.
  10. Thanks for the welcome guys . Yes, I have read the noob guide, guide to movements, best replicas of 2008.. as many guides as I can read. This place is a treasure trove of information, and as I wait for the first couple of watches, they are fantastic reads. Nothing like a good mix of well written articles and great money shots.
  11. Hello everyone! I have found myself on this site, seeking to increase my nonexistant knowledge on the world of replica watches. It all started when the significant other placed an order for a nice Lady DateJust at the local AD. Very nice watch, terribly long waiting time until we receive it, and I cannot justify the cost of one for myself. Of course, when it comes to women, price is no object right?! Around the same time, on another forum I frequent someone was posting pics of their replica collection. Perfect timing! Before then the only replicas that I had seen or heard of were those $25 cheapies street vendors thrust upon you when you're travelling o/seas. Instantly smitten, I feel like a kid in a candy store, eyes wide, wanting to buy them all. The instant addict that I am I have already read lots of literature of the pros and cons, got the lowdown on the reputable dealers and have placed orders for a nice Radiomir and a Yachtsman.. my 'entree'. Ahh.. addiction abated for now What I really want is a nice GMTII Pepsi, but CHS vs IHS... I so want a CHS, but not to have questionable reliability. As of now, I get the thought, why didn't I find this place sooner!
