  1. Happy Birthday polaris!

  2. The 104 is a nicer watch imho, date an' all, but the 005 (if dealer has 'em) is a bargain. ~$250 with shipping and you get all the goodies included: Lume, AR, CG, Crown. Everything looking good. The 104 Ultimate hasn't been updated for about 2yrs now. ~$450 with shipping and still needs mods to get it looking good. T48 crown, AR and a re-lume. That's about an extra $300 in mods/shipping. (Even then still iffy with a thin CG and a closed 6 dial[transition year]). Go the 005 or wait (ha as if you could!!) for an updated auto.
  3. Every time there is one of these threads out comes the gen haters and gen forum bashing. Lol My forum better than your forum nonsense. Too bad some rep owners just can't keep their glee to themselves and the rep forums that they have to poison the gen forums with pics. As if to rub it in their faces. Gen forums are for appreciating gen watches. Rep forums for appreciating the astounding value reps offer. And then nit picking every minute detail. That linked thread is one of the most balanced I've ever seen on a gen forum. As for the watch, well looks like someone adheres to the "bag of rocks" philosophy when it comes to 'vintagising'.
  4. I don't know the measurements OP, but you could also get a 111J caseback crystal. They are meant to be sapphire or so I am told. No one with a 177 and calipers can help OP?
  5. Thank you Rolexman for organising this! 1x brown for me please I would also be interested if there is another run for deployants.
  6. 16613TT + Rolex Cufflinks = Sublime Love the cufflinks. Kinda like Burberry collars. Not too in-your-face. Just enough to be pimping. Now is that a full Burberry tartan shirt. OK you lose point for that!!! Just jokes.
  7. I like this, but something about the arabic markers isn't quite right. Maybe it's just because they are too flat and no lume. But I like the carbon and rose gold combo.
  8. As a watch for a woman, it's pretty nice. Plenty of bling, which the ladies love. I would have thought a bejeweled bracelet is more appropriate than a strap, however. Don't get your knickers in a twist. No one is asking you to buy it ffs.
  9. Looking great! Those fat lugs make a huge [and improved] difference imo. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Thanks for sharing. I have been thinking of getting a ultrasonic cleaner and this fits the bill. Nice find.
  11. Silver Themes is good. As accurate as any other ROO, but the problem I have with most ROOs are the bezel screws. They are wonky. Never seen a perfect one and the gen would never have theme like that. To me this screams fake a mile away. I handled a gen and thought them to be very well built and the face looked perfect. That's why, atm, I prefer the Rubberclads and the Survivor. The rubber hides these imperfections and hex bolts on the Survivor doesn't suffer this problem. The new Chronopassion is looking better. I don't know if it's the Ti, but the bezel screws don't seem to be so messed up from the few pics I have seen. Orchard Road, which was also Ti, was a Rubberclad so this is our first all metal Ti ROO. (they should make the re-case the Grey Themes in Ti too)
  12. The noob maker does better case, crown, cg and has sapphire display backs(afaik). Just the lume and AR by the Hublot factory make a bigger, much more noticable difference. I am just glad there are both makers, so we can pick and choose the best bits between them. That's a great pictorial comparison txcollector, the reps are so good now. The beveling is perfect!
