  1. Most comfortable SSD + Breit Montbrillant Datora Less comfortable PAM 063 with rubber strap
  2. +1 So much for the "stick to our trusted dealers" moto... It is very disappointing and i would really like to listen to what Jos has to say about this review. Thumbs up to Francisco for the effort and the money he put on this review in order to open our eyes wide enough to see the trouth behind the marketing lies. Thanks
  3. Hello guys The way i see it based on my personal experience,99% out there have not the slightest clue on how to recognize a gen over a fake watch. The other 1% are the percentage of the guys who are hanging around in RWG!!! and it is mostly unlikely they would live near me,thankfully And most of the other guys who are posting at the so called "gen watches" forums also don't know the differences between gens and reps, maybe because they do not care about them. I believe that because all of us who are posting and reading in RWG or RG or RWI have all the info about the reps coming out of ppl extremely experienced on the rep industry and perfectionists (like most of us in here!!!)we tend to think that everyone out there can spot a rep watch in a sec. This is not whats really happening actually.Out there only a few ppl are actually paying attention to the watch you are wearing and only 1 out of the 100 can really spot if it is real or fake, but not without a close inspection and not without the benefit of the doubt.I mean,i could spot a replica watch but it has to be very inaccurate as a replica(a Quartz sub or the inaccurate recessed DW of a NAVI for example)but if it was a high end modded replica i would still had my doubts and of course i couldnt jump into a conclusion strong enough to call out the owner. What i am trying to say is that the fear of being called out is mostly psychological to me cause i know that only a few can really tell and not without a very close and thorough inspection.I have friends with gen rolex watches and we have put side by side my reps and their gens and still could not spot a difference between them, let alone other brands who are not so well known as the Rolex name. Of course i am not stupid or confident enough to take my rep to an AD or a watchmaker and try to pass it as a gen!!!although i am not quiet convinced whether an AD employee has the knowledge to spot the differences between a high end modded rep and a gen!!! Besides there are way to many guys out there with rolex watches on their wrists,so i doubt if anyone would even care to notice them. Most will assume they are fakes but many more wont even care.Today ppl have way to many problems in their minds and focusing on the watch you are wearing isn't one of them...For me the best way to defend myself from someone who is trying to call my rep out is the use of the knowledge i am getting from this forum.By knowing all the flaws and the history of the watch i am wearing i can hide them from being spotted and also i can give a very good argument to the person who is trying to call me out.(Also a few good mods will come in handy!!! ) Thanks for listening to my opinion and sorry for the long talk!!! John
  4. Well i am just glad i was right on the watch!!!Thanks for the confirmation!!!
  5. I think the other thing that really is great about when a new member interacts and sticks around is that they learn much more about watches than if they were to join a genuine forum (in general). Because we know about the little flaws in the reps, we also know when a gen is a gen......rep WIS's are very anal (picky and precise) @b16a2 I couldnt agree more.I am a member in some of the so called genwatch forums and it is quite impresive the fact that all those ppl who are into gen watches have not the slightest idea on how to spot a difference between a rep and a gen watch. Absolutely shocking. But i think it is due to the fact that in most of those forums ppl aren't allowed to talk about reps, just like it is a contagious disease or just because the others might think low of them.So much for the free expression of thoughts.
  6. Well said b16. The main thing for all of the newcomers is to understand first that there is no such thing as a "PERFECT REPLICA" no AD,no watchsmith and no one who really is into the rep hobby will ever be fooled by a replica watch. If our goal is to fool an AD then we are way off the track. The way i see it,99% of the averege guy out there is not able to distinguish the difference between a gen and a rep Rolex, let along a Breit or a Graham!!! Also only a small percentage actually pays any attention at all to the watch someone is wearing. So if our goal is to impress someone or to fool an AD then i am sorry to inform all of the newer members out there that this is not going to happen. Just take pleasure of the piece you have purchased, wear it well and in good health and try to learn about the watch you are wearing.Learn its history, learn how it works, learn how to make it look closer to a gen but mostly dont fool yourselves that you are actually wearing a gen Rolex or whaterver. Wear the watch but dont allow not even for a sec for it to wear you. Thanks guys for reading my expressed opinion,i hope you repect it as i respect yours. John
  7. Point taken I agree that a lot of ppl are way to lazy to bother to search and they want their food ready and served. I on the other hand found this forum late and i am mad at my self cause i learned about the reps through paying trial and error,if i may pUt it this way.For my first replicas i overpaid up to 650$ just because i thought i was going to get a top of the notch-near gen high end watch!!! But as i already said now i know better and i am searching constantly for the best info in here and RG And i got to say that in here i have found information that i still can't believe it could ever exist. And thanks to you guys those first 650 $ watches are now a part of my watch repairing-mod training equipment!!!since they are not good for anything else!!! Cheers
  8. Personally i don't find those kind of questions annoying. It s the normal thing for someone to do considering the fact that he is new to this "hobby" or whatever we may want to call it. What i find annoying is the insults that a new member has to go through by some of the older members when he asks those kind of questions. Just because he is new to this forum and has posted only 1 or 2 times this doesn't give us the right to call him a newbie and throw it back at his face prompting him in a bad manner to read the rules. I dont judge a book by its cover...so i cannot judge a new member by its first post and call him a damn newbie who doesnt know anything... if he did he wouldn't care to ask. Also i dont have a problem providing someone with an answer as long as i have one to give to a new member.I btw am a new member. If someone finds it annoying, then simply shouldnt bother to read the post in the first place. All the posts have a title which id the main theme of them,so we can choose what to read and what not. I personally read all the posts which i find interesting according to my specific criteria (mostly tech stuff)and i choose not to read something that i dont find interesting. The public forums all over the world are based on free and open minded posting and we are all in here to help each other, newbies or not. Thanks for reading guys.
  9. Same here from my dealer too.All of mine are coming inside a minispeaker !!!
  10. I have sent 5 times to my rep dealer in China from EU and only in one case the watch was lost but this was due to my responsibility since i sent it as a regular unregistered air mail. i couldnt blame the dealer for this. The risk is always higher in such cases and i accepted it. The shipping time for the other four was from two up to six weeks. There was no stantard time and given the fact that indeed is a holiday season...well i wouldn't worry to much though. My opinion is that the watch will get to J's hands. Just be patient. John
  11. Totally agree +1 Just take a look at this http://www.ripoffreport.com/searchresults....p;Search=Search Stay away
  12. Great pics man Thanks for sharing and i agree, the DSSD looks awesome
  13. Thanks M. I ve got a beautiful Datora rep with crisp white dial but it looses its looks due to lack of AR coating.I am currently waiting for a new Chief AR run!!! I will pm you with a technical/troubleshooting question about a Navi,if its all right with you? Thanks
  14. Great presentation M. Thanks. 1 question cause it was hard for me to see...does it have AR coating?
  15. +1 I couldn't agree more. And also there is no such thing as a GRADE APPOINTING COUNCIL FOR WATCH REPLICAS!!! And bestswiss is a known scam site. Only gen watches worth that kind of money.
  16. What about the radiation limits of those rep phones?i think guys, and correct me if i am wrong that the majority of those reps are not tested for radiation(SAR LIMITS)and also their batteries most of the time are like time bombs. We are not talking about harmless rep watches here,we are talking about appliances which emit radiation next to our heads. I dont want to sound like i am trying to spoil this for you but some things must be noted
  17. Take a look here http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=88921
