Thats funny Mike, I dont mean ha ha funny but strange funny. The Owl [censored] that I came across about month ago while on vacation was not slick at all.It was kind of gritty and the smell was of burnt Juniper berries. Maybe I had the wrong Owl. Maybe your refering to the slick doo doo horned owl, Indigenous of Wayne county and the metropolitian Detroit area.

Thanks TeeJay, I appericate the suggestion. The Eczema only efects my hands. It a real [censored] when It flares up. My skin can crack and sometimes bleed. I have a special ointment that I use that keeps my hands In pretty good condition. It's the cold weather that I especially have to be aware. Thanks just the same the man Mike

I would take rep any day over one of these. Stuhrling products are ok for what they are, enexpensive watches. Thats not a bad thing for most folks. But we know about reps and the majority of the public does not. With Chinese/Japanese mechanicals and Swiss and Jap quartz movements they get the job done and look pretty good while doing It. But are reps seem to be something different, something better. What It Is exactly I do not know but It Is a good thing, I do know that. Mike

You sir are right again, Chinese movements are In almost all Stuhrlings watches

Deniz the very best thing you can use on your bracelet Is a credit card, thats right a credit card. This Is what you do.... you order a gen bracelet for your Skyland, no worries It's only $900.00 Im sorry Deniz I could not resist. I use mineral oil and cape cod cloth or polishing cloth for small Imperfections. Also By-Tor's method Is very good. Im sure you will be very happy with the results. Mike

Improvements If they could get the lume on those sick markers more evenly applied and maybe make the bracelet a little bit thicker, holy [censored]

Sounds good bro I have very sentitive skin(Eczema) I always keep a box of those desposable medical rubber gloves on my work bench/desk.There really thin and dont get In the way while working on my watches/bracelets. I also will give the dry chain oil a go one day, why not? I have brought some of my bracelets back from the dead. Give me a good old cape cod or polishing cloth and some good old baby oil(mineral oil with fragance) and Im ready to rock
-
Man you going all high tech on us bro. Sounds really good, I bet those bracelets come out really nice after one of those ultrasonic cleanings

I have a Omega SMPO chrono. I feel It wont be long before the same thing happens. I think I will try to purchase the necessary parts and find someone local to Install them. It's really to bad about these crown Issues.

Thanks for the tip If you use the right oil It can make a world of difference. Let us know how It turns out, good luck Mike

I dont think It's the exact same UN as Robbie's gen TeeJay but very similar, the Maxi collection. The rep has a 23J movement and a PR. It also has double sided AR and very good lume for a rep. A beautifuly decorated movement with a exhibition case back tops It off. It really Is a beautiful piece and a fantastic value when considering the price. Sewing machine oil I will have to try that sometime, thanks Mike

+4 Well said Tee Jay. A little trick I learned here was to soak your bracelet In mineral oil. I purchased the UN Maxi 45 several months ago. Imho It Is one of the nicest reps for under $200.00. I got the ss Instead of the rubber and thought i made a mistake. The ss bracelet did not have that nice smooth feeling and drape that a high quailty bracelet has, It felt unfinished. Well I soaked It In mineral oil over night and the bracelet was transformed, like butter baby With It's tight turning bezel and great fit and finish my UN Maxie Is now a favorite In my humble collection. Sometimes It's those little things we do that make such a big difference. Mike

Another fantastic review by a the great By-Tor Great job sir, much appreciated Mike -
Im a huge fan of the Asian 7750. It Is a good Idea to have them serviced after several months of recieving the watch. I have eight reps with the 7750 movement that have not been serviced. They are all keeping good time and I have had no serious problems as of yet. That being said, yes have your 7750 serviced to Insure a long and dependable life. Mike (ps) The MBTW Is a great rep, enjoy.

Were defenitely on the same page. I for one dont feel you have to mod your watch to have that gen feel. It Is true that with some simple mods you can get your watch to look more like the real thing. But there are some reps that are very good out of the box and If you choose you can enjoy It just the way It Is.It's Important to remeber that RWG Is not the real world and most people dont look at watches the way we do here, macro shots anyone If I have to put a $1000.00 Into a rep I would probably just buy a gen, of course that depends on the watch.I also understand that some members want there watch as perfect as possable and thats fine also.Outside of some lume and a servicing Im good to go. Maybe someday I will find that special watch and make that something special through mods but Im quite happy right now just keeping It simple. Mike

Thank you for sharing those beautys with us. I just happen to love my SA, Imho It's a super rep. I have a 7 1/2 In wrist and It wears very nice. It's a big bold piece, not for the the timid or faint of heart If your looking to fly under the radar, this Is not the watch Mike
-
I got mine from Tony @Asian7750. I just sent him a message asking If he has more In stock. I will let you know as soon as he answers my message, fingers crossed. Mike (ps) the blue (graphite) model Is also very nice, I almost orderd that one but I love yellow

Thanks for the pics of this legend of a watch. When the monster came out 42mm was considerd a big watch. Although a decent size I dont think a 42mm would be considerd a monster as far as size go's anymore. That being said I feel this watch Is one of the best divers you can get for the money, virtally Indistrutable. I love the Seiko brand, a great watch with a great heritage. Seiko became the first to market an automatic chronograph(calibre 6138,6139) when It deliverd Its first models to dealers In may of 1969. The Zenith El Primero was the first automatic chronograph presented to the public but It was Seiko who massed produced them. This topic bas been hotly debated for years. That being said you cant deny Seikos place In history Mike
