  1. Man that pole is so wrong in so many levels :whistling::victory: ..Havent touched my diesels in over a year by now prolly, and I have a few pairs myself. Its all japanese raw denim for me.Right now braking a pair of flat head 3001 and pure blue japan 007s. I also have 19oz heavy [censored] Samurais s710 for the winter, a pair of kicking mule blacks(Awesome jean, small American brand that works with japanese indigo) and I have a pretty beat up dior 19cms MIJ that I still wear quite a lot although the denim itself sucks..Great cut.

    Good stuff farquar. :good:

  2. I have a first Gen Shuffle "Pack of Gum" version. Mine plays in the correct order -or- randomly based on switch position.

Your problem could be caused by an error in the "Playlist you are filling from". (Caused by the shuffle button in iTunes -or- by sorting the playlist previously.)

    Try this:

    1.) Make a new playlist.

2.) MAKE SURE "SHUFFLE" icon is OFF in iTunes

3.) Drag the songs you want over - IN THE ORDER YOU WANT THEM

4.) Make sure NOT to "Sort" the playlist at any time.

5.) FILL iPod "FROM NEW PLAYLIST

  3. This is the response to be expected by Orchi and some of his followers.

They are way too hung up on what could be considered simple "aftermarket replacement parts". If Rolex won't support their customers/vintage models, I think it is great that these parts are in the wild. I don't see him throwing a fit over Clarks crystals or the dozens of "aftermarket bezel inserts" which seem perfectly legal.

The larger problem is because of Rolex's business practice, people will get screwed when these cases are passed off as 100% original.

  4. What is the brand with the horseshoe on the butt pockets that is so popular right now? I much prefer the diesel pocket... Maybe I will pick up a pair. Do they have the baggier cuts? Those are the only I can wear.

That would be the True Religion. See my post above. (I love seeing them on my hot female neighbor, but not so much on guys)

As for the $200 Jean comment, It is not unlike a nice watch. Also, a way for [women] or other fashion conscious people to size you up. It helps the girls pick out what guys will spend the most money on them. (Joking, sort of...:whistling:, ). As we have become a more 'casual' dressing society, I think this is just another way of setting yourself apart from the standard Levi/Gap mass market jeans. (Nothing wrong with Levi's)...

Chief, Diesel has all kinds of cuts and styles, but their Web site is a PITA to navigate. If you hit the web site just go to the store link as it is easier to see the different styles. I also have to agree with Ubi, these Jeans are built very well. Safe to say you can get YEARS out of them instead of one season. As an xLevi guy and Calivn guy as well, these should last twice as long. YMMV.

  5. Congrats on the new watch and getting it taken care of. Watch looks awesome. :good:

I "HAD" a MTM Spec Ops for about a week before the bezel allen screws fell out, and developed a bracelet issue. I fought like hell and sent it back for a full refund. Hopefully you won't need that warranty. Sweet looking watches, but their "Military Marketing Claim" seems a little exaggerated. I would sooner go into battle with a Seiko.

(Clarification: I am not trying to poo-poo MTM, your watch looks awesome, but I am just backing up your QC claims having had one. "Looks" come first IMHO from a MTM perspective, then Quality)

  6. I am a Diesel guy, then a 7 all mankind, followed by Calvin Klein.

True Religion and Rock and Republic jeans look great on Women, but the back pocket design, IMHO, should not be worn by "Men" Over 30. Under 30, cool, fashion of youth.

  7. I read the article in IW yesterday actually.

My impression was he has become anti-fashion plate, anti-little guy/boutique guy. There was one part in the article where he mentions his suit maker wanting to make watches with his help. He refused. I also think he is against the "assemblers". Guys who just buy a bunch of Swiss parts, assemble a watch and sell it as some high end watch. (Like a Debaufre' and possibly down to a Kobold level.).

There was also a great quote in the article where he compares to the auto industry. It went something like "Image Joe Thompson wants to make a car. He goes to GM to buy the engine for his Joe Thomson car. GM would be like 'Hell NO!'."

I am not saying I agree with him, but I see where he is coming from.

My worries is about parts availability down the road. Do the Offrei's / Cousins get "cut-off"???? That is the ONE question they article never answers.

I also wonder what his definition of "Big Watch maker" is that they will continue supplying to. Does this mean the Doxa's, Ball, Sinn, Kobold, Bremont, and other small to mid-range companies will be cut off?

    We shall see...
