Thought that book looked familiar...I remember it well from 'Ladies Market' in Hong Kong copy watch sir.

UM Just buy the gen strap from your local dealer.

Jump on the MRT I think it is called to ShenZen which from memory takes about an hour from HK and cross the bridge at the end of the platform into the Lowu building. You can get your visa stamped at immigration in Shenzhen as it takes only 10 mins or so. It's about 5 or six floors of rep everything and has good quality reps in some of the shops....Or even better you can go to Guangzhou which is only a few hours from HK and visit the famous watch markets.

It is a nice Navi that one and I found a few posts below with the same watch which you might find interesting. Not sure why I thought the subdials were blue but they do look black. Chief Are you going to be using the new rep case SA for this franken.? The reason I ask is that the old case has a screw in crown and crowntube but I believe this movement has it's own internal screw in mechanism that does not use a threaded crown tube. The new rep case has a non threaded tube like the gen, Much better AR coated glass and the correct length hands although they may need Robs touch to fit them to this movement. Nice project my friend..Look forward to seeing this one finished.

Check if they have them in stock though as they often list items that they do not have or can't get any longer.

For the Navitimer I would buy the white dial/blue sub dial serie special with the date at 3:00. Brush the whole case and bracelet like the gen, Put in a Lello datewheel and send the crystal for AR. Bingo!!

Looking very good Jay but you need to find a Navitimer to complete the set I think.

It's just the 2836 GMT handsize that is different and will not fit onto the 2893-2 movement. Daves watch posted above is already a 2893-2 so no need to worry about any of the hands.

Sometimes Davidsen uses a custom tube in his watches so they may not fit. Maybe shoot Davidsen an email and ask him.

T you mentioned that these are made for rep cases but will they also fit Jimmy Fu cases as well as I cannot find a gen crown for my JF.? They look awesome by the way.

Normal is to not wind when you screw in the crown. I have had several reps that do what you are describing and it is a manufacturing fault that you have to live with.

Having just bought a gen Breitling Super Avenger I can tell you that there is no rep in the world that feels the same way as a gen does. Everything on a gen is quality and made to the highest specs and no rep ever will compete. I have owned both a franken SA and the new SA and in no way do they compare to my new gen at all. Sold pretty much all of my reps and it was fun while it lasted but for me I'm kinda bored with the whole scene now.

Those hands look a bit marked unfortunately...Either that or you left some fingerpirnts on them.
