Robert can I ask how you polish the end of the pin like that. I have a polished CG that needs to be refinished and have the pin polished so would love to know your technique for this.

I agree TeeJay for parts he is unbeatable but I too have had bad experiences when ordering a fully assembled watch from Davidsen. Never again especially after the way UJ was treated.

63 is from Josh and I heard back from the member that I got the CG from....He received this from Jimmy himself back when he first started to sell these on ebay. Now I'm really puzzled . I have a Jimmy case coming soon so if it does not fit that 1:1 then I wil know for certain

Well acording to your measurements this is not a Jimmy CG. Bit miffed now as this was bought from a trusted member of this forum.

The Zigmeister is saying that he has seen many Jimmy CG's and this one just does not seem right and would not fit my 63 case without extensive mods. The action is certainly Gen like but the lever could have been swapped out of the fu....Your thoughts?

This just turned up today and I am blown away to be honest..Rob has done a magnificent job as usual and it looks fantastic. We had one issue with the dial which had a faulty 9 which can hardly be noticed now that Rob has fixed this as well. Mods include ETA 2893-2, Gen crown, Super Lumed dial and hands, Davidsen 2893-2 gmt hand, Datewheel change and Chief AR cyclops which is the dogs [censored]. Thanks heaps Rob for all of the hard work you put in on this I couldn't be happier.

The rep bezel is identical so no real need to swap this unless you already have one on hand. I'm so impressed with this rep and If I hadn't have bought the gen I would have been very happy with this as the build quality is fantastic. The glass does not have the coke bottle effect that [censored] me off with the older rep and the AR is as good as I have seen on any rep. The hands are long like they should be and the datefont is perfect. Dial is not quite as good as the gen with the lume dots being incorrectly raised above the dial instead of almost flat and the concentric circles in the subdials are not as pronounced as the gen dial. One other plus is the crown does not wind into a crown tube..It has the internal winding mechanism that the evolution has and feels very smooth indeed. All in all a very very nice watch.

Nice review...It looks like some of the bracelet screws have round heads and some flat.

I think for this watch D you need to get a gen strap for it..Nothing else comes close in quality. Should cost you about $150 Aussie for strap and buckle. Any problems pm me and I can help you get these.

Thats normal with reps to have the CG lever in that state.
