  1. There's no-one specific person on the boards who does rep work in the UK, but you may be able to find a local watchsmith who is sympathetic to your needs if you say that you've got a watch that is broken and you think it's only cheap but it has sentimental value :)

Failing that, I think Domi or Bricciola (I think that's how you spell it) on here are in the EU and are well regarded. Other than that you have the Zigmeister in Canada, but his waiting lists are quite long!

  2. Andew (TrustyTime) has quite a big selection, but I believe Mary (WatchInternational) can get pretty much anything you want and can build something to your requirements!

Mary is also the only dealer I'd trust to actually get you a Swiss ETA movement - it would appear that many of the other dealers will send an Asian clone in its place and hope you never open the back up.

  3. I think Parnis use similar movements in their other watches:

Cheap and cheerful asian movements, slightly lightweight, I find the rotors on my ones are a bit noisy, but date change is positive when adjusting it, it feels nice and tight when changing the time, and they start straight up with only a couple of swirls :)

Tse is a good seller from what I can tell so you shouldn't have any trouble if you have trouble, if you know what I mean :)

  4. On another note... I am pretty excited because I have picked up a Jurgens Monster Mesh bracelet to go with the watch and it should be delivered today... It looks like this should be an adequate replacement to the gen as the gen is I believe 4.5mm. Jurgens Monster Mesh is 4.4mm. Anybody have experience with this? Once I have the whole family together (black non-chrono, bronze chrono, mesh) I will post pics.

    Ooh, that sounds interesting...

    Link??

  5. It's worth noting that that's the version that's not super-adjustable lengthwise - this one is a better option if you have small or large wrists!

Bit more expensive but I've just ordered two and he gave me 20% off, so could be worth a group buy and posting on from one delivery address if people are on the same continent and one of them wanted to act as forwarder :)
