I know someone who's got one of the Titanic ones. I've never been sure of the taste issues either!
Moondust one is pretty cool though.

Great post, Ubi

You might be able to get it from the factory with ETA fitted if you ask? (If it's not already on its way!)
-
*waits for the Breitling geeks to point out errors in it* lol
The SuperOcean Heritage info does at least seem correct. The picture of the v1 against the Gen looks familiar. Anyone's on here?
-
First, I would immediately remove all those order number, merchant numbers, etc from your post. Just click edit and delete the numbers. They don't help anyone and might expose you.
+1
Always remove any identifying numbers or references or names! Just in case...
-
Lawrence has said that he is going to get some in also, so it would appear that the factory is selling them again??
Who knows...
All I know is I need to get one while I can!! lol
-
That looks really good, nice raised profiled and gloss finish!
-
I am also confused!!
But I'm not complaining - as long as we can get them still, all is good...
-
Perhaps he's referring to the HE valve??
-
If Vertu can build a 'hybrid' phone that charges the battery using a traditional rotor system, why can't this one?!
-
I would perhaps consider going for a standard Asian ETA movement rather than a 'rolex clone' movement - from memory this clone movement isn't that high quality and rotors/bridges have worked loose on other watches very soon after purchase.
The Asian ETA is a reliable, well known movement, and should present no problems going by how little they are reported on here, plus you'd get the smooth rolex sweep that you desire.

haven't actually ordered anything from them yet due to funding, but I most certainly intend to
I know that feeling all too well.. lol

I'll never forget the photo Pugwash posted of a fogged up Seiko. I think that was a good reminder that even genuine does not guarantee perfection
If you were to go down the Seiko route, and go with the option Nanuq suggested of customizing, here's a site which sells a lot of nice parts. I'm planning on using it as a source for when I get round to building a totally custom watch for my godson
That's an awesome link for custom stuff, cheers TeeJay
-
Ah, but has he actually got it in stock or just not updated his website?
-
That's a one-off custom build iirc so you'll have to build one yourself if you want one
-
I think it's for the SD.
-
Sweet, thanks for the update

I know that there are belt buckles avaiable like the Pre-V buckles, maybe something like that might be worth a look?
Really?
We need links, my man

I wish they'd keep making the Breitling SOH v2 but it seems that they've ceased production
I want the factories to make the Sinn UBlack - they did a good job on the other models so hurry up with this one!
-
Good plan to move this out of your sales thread, sorry to take it off topic lol
As above, this was going to be my next watch that I was saving for, but now it seems it isn't to be
I've had confirmation from Mary that she can't get the Blue or Black dial but I believe she may be able to get the brown and white/silver dial versions in v2 - I think she'd have to check if you were to order one though.
I've also asked two other dealers about the v2 availability - one hasn't come back to me yet and the other has confirmed that he has stock but he is due to ship to a wholesaler soon so can't say if he has any individual pieces available until they've gone out the door...
I'm crossing my fingers but it's not looking good
-
+1 on all of the above! lol
-
That looks near identical to the old one lol
Have they increased the size?
-
It would appear that the travellers will still have to find 70% of the cost so that's hardly a bargain holiday! lol
-
Thanks for dealing with this!
It was a bit sudden lol but if it speeds things up then that's good
Seems a bit quicker so far so let's see how it goes!

The first, expensive one is the dodgy clone movement so I'd avoid that one.
The middle one is the same as the last one - if you open both up and [alt]-[tab] between them, they have identical pictures! The only difference is that the middle one is Swiss ETA and the cheap one is Asia ETA.
Given that 'Swiss' ETA often turns out to be Asian ETA anyway, I'd go with the cheapest...
...but that's just me, and I'm not a rolex expert in any way so can't comment on the accuracy! (bar noticing that the last two have near perfect rehaut engravings!?)
