  1. I'm having issues with this as well - I can't even see what 'm typing until Im' four lines down or so That and the fact that the smileys box overlaps and hides the tet too! It's a good job I can touch tyope... lol EDIT: And again, in English, now I can see what I'm typing in the Edit Post box... (well, apart from the smileys that still overlap...) Clearly my touchtyping needs work! lol "I'm having issues with this as well - I can't even see what I'm typing until I'm four lines down or so That and the fact that the smileys box overlaps and hides the text too! 2. Those caribou boots look great! Are they much $$?
  3. Mary at WatchInternational can source most things I think. Send her a picture of the gen and she will be able to tell you if she can get it!
  4. This is great stuff! It's good that we have members of the community able to do this for the benefit of all Will look forward to the rest of the tests!
  5. Hi all, I wasn't sure where to post this so I hope this is the right forum I'm looking to add some holes to a replacement B&R BR01 strap that's using a replica buckle, but I can't seem to find a hole punch that is the required 6mmx2mm anywhere! Has anyone got an ideas? Will I have to try and get one custom made? Or look for a smaller size one that I can use twice or three times to make the one wide hole?? I'm also not quite sure what size the gen PAM strap holes are, so if anyone knows... Thanks for any help you can give me! M-X
  6. Thanks for the pics and advice, Lani Is that one the one that has recently come onto the market at a very reasonable price (under $200?) I've always been tempted by this and if it's got the swiss movement AND the new, lighter coloured steel, it's making it hard to resist!
  7. Sweeeet, will look forward to the pics! re: the OP, you can use the graphite trick on normal lume. Take a pencil and grind the 'lead' against something so it ends up as powder. Then you can just mix it in with the lume to get a darker lume that still glows quite well I believe softer pencils are darker, but generally the more 'lead' you add the darker it will be!
  8. Have a look for the BR-S models, I think they're 39mm? Some good suggestions in this thread though. If you (she... lol) want completely matching watches, you could get the large and the tiny size Yachtmasters, or there are ladies and mens sized Omega Aqua Terras? I've posted a thread somewhere reviewing the one I bought for my missus Email Mary at watchinternational with what you're looking for and she should be able to sort you out! I reckon you could get a ladies and mens Omega AT for under
  9. LOL I'm too pretty for prison so I daren't risk it
  10. LOL at the sundial I'm liking the watch in the first post! Is it just, effectively, a greatly modified 6498?
  11. If you'll pardon my french, that is pretty ****ing awesome Are you going to look for a gen case/bezel/insert too?
  12. I'm bemused by everyone carrying a piece and/or a blade - in the UK carrying a piece is 5 years jail time! lol
  13. I presume you wouldn't be taking the movement out of a gen to swap it into a rep of the same watch??! lol
  14. I would be quite interested in this also, pending seeing the results!
  15. Oh dear!! Hats off for being brave enough to have a go, I hope you can get it sorted
  16. Great pic comparison, thanks again Lani! Definitely looks better than the 316L so let's hope that this is a win-win situation - manufacturers cut costs, we get a better product, it lasts just as long as the 316L...
  17. It may be best to send him a message direct?
  18. Nice I wouldn't hold my breath for March though... lol It will get to you, it's just that WM9 usually run over deadlines! Gives you more time to save for the gen movement though
  19. Pretty much all the dealers can get the same pieces so it's simply a case of choosing the dealer you like the feedback of the most, then seeing what they can do.
