  1. You will need to look at a pearl swap. If yours is centered which it probably isn't, you can keep your bezel. If not than wholesaleoutlet990 on the bay is the best bet, but you will have to mod the pearl still.
  2. Well it was a good learning tool. Sucks to have to deal with that after the wait
  3. sorry about the double post on the pics, but it isn't letting me edit it. Cougar thanks for, maybe indirectly, talking me into this one. Amazing rep period, but for the money it is extraordinary.
  4. Here is both after about 10 minutes outside and with just night settings to allow for a slightly long exposure. Both for the sexy lume shot with 10-12 second exposure And I was asked for additional pictures of the PO and the 2254. Not the same series so not suppose to be exactly the same, but a comparison. 5. My 2254.50 is brighter then my friends 2200.50. I think slightly more like area is the cause of that. Both during the gen v gen test were outside during a hawaii BBQ and brought in to check them. Man v man watch-off I guess. This case the 2254 was in my drawer for a while and when I pulled the 5 gen PO out of the box I charged both over my bathroom light for 1 minute or so to take a pic with my iPhone. The hands/pearl are definetly fainter and the markers are pretty close to the 2254 but not as eye popping. I will charge both outside a while and that should cause the 2254 to out shine the rep. But the 5gen surprised me. It doesn't last long but if I am outside and come in with it then it is definetly good lume. I would say close to a citizen (not color but strength) and not as good as a seiko sumo or in the same league as the omegas. It is close to my 2531.80 but that is because it has very little area on that. I will re lume or dial swap later but I'm going to enjoy this awhile.
  6. Much better than the old UPO i had. This is very gen like, the lume markers are very white when not charged, pearl is good, and good AR. Much better then the UPO even with the Chief AR on that last one I was very disappointed in the watch and this is almost perfect.
  7. Received the watch and its great. Through it in one of my SMP's boxes for first pic. Just some iPhone pics for now. Bracelet not sized, but first wrist shots Good even AR Lume is better then expected, the hands and pearl are weak though. Below is a comparison with my 2254.50 Fits well on my SMP rubber Curve fits perfect and the spring bars are tightly spaced. Next to the 2254.50 Lume next to the 2254.50 the 2254.50 2531.80 wrist shot Old tritium lume 2531.80 wrist shot
  8. This looks like we finally have promising Smp case coming
  9. Should be able to searh sead. He is supermirrors in the vendor section. Trevor is another easy to find if you put him in search
  10. Both Trevor and sear get the nod from me.
  11. Read right over the dep clasp part. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/po-rubber-w-113038.html
  12. You can get good spring bars with out buying omega bars. Just buy 22mm spring bars if it is a 45upo or 20mm bars of it is a 42 po. The upo rubber straps from the TDs looked to always be pretty good. The 20mm strap for the 42 had some soft quality issues until late. I would hit up one of the dealers they will run you $40-50 USD I think, but its been awhile
  13. I am also. Are all the good speedy's gone and blue moon used sales forum finds
  14. You want quartz but no ticking second hand? Really? Get a cheap 21j and buy a few extra movements to swap out when it dies. Sweep and cheap. That said the eta is a work horse and the service isn't that big of a deal.
  15. Last pic before it hits the mail. He is running thru a functions check and making sure we are good to go. This looks much better than my old UPO did in my opinion. I will post my unqualified photographic skills picture when I get it.
  16. Didn't notice that but would rather it be like this one then right on top/ too close like some. Great now the omega logo is going to bother me
  17. Told him I would take it and expressed a little concern of the bezel alignment. He sent square on pics anyways for me. It looks good. I may post those pics up depending on shipping time but I think I will just post when I get it.
  18. Thanks for the help. I think it looks good. I will post pics when I get it.
  19. I think it looks pretty good. The pearl looks centered, but the bezel may be slightly mis aligned. i asked for a square picture of the alignment in relation to the dial. The He Valve looks well placed, but maybe larger than some of the recent valves I have seen. The omega logo looks straight any high enough off the omega print. Datewheel looks centered and no misaligned illum markers that I can see. What are your thoughts?
  20. Ok somehow I. Trying to talk me out of it I talked myself into it. Ordered one today. If you don't mind I would like to post up the qc pics for the big issues only. We will see worst case I lose a couple of bucks on resale, spend a few more modding it, best case the dial is better and I like it as is.
  21. Thanks for the help. I love the gen seamasters but really would like a 42mm po to work in just think there are a few shortcomings on the upo hat bother me. The steelfish black dial is spot on in most regards and I wish the po would be a bit closer (as most would on any rep) it is great for the price but I think I will hold off for a bit and think more about it. I know I would lose much on the 42 if I bought it and wasn't uber impressed requiring me to sell it, big I think that will be the case. So it is hard to go in thinking you will not be happy. Thanks again I will keep my eye out there for the one. I may go a different direction and buy sinn u1 and/or a sinn 6100. Both look like good reps and the. Just stick to omegas in the gen world.
  22. it was a 45mm UPO model that I bought with the Chief AR crystal on it.
