What if you could improve your wristi images ?
donerix replied to lanikai's topic in General Discussion
I think Lanikai's pics are quite amazing. I have a question though: The wrist shot: In my opinion the hardest one to do (if by yourself). DSLR seems impossible (I have a Canon D10 with the extra battery pack - I know it's a dinosaur by now, but it still take decent pics and ways a ton), so I use my little point&shoot. I always see the same kind of shot. Has anybody managed to get a decent wristy from the "other side" meaning the outer side of your wrist. If so please post some pics for us to learn. Here are my last wrist shots: You see what I mean: it's basically always the same shot with different backdrops, there must be a better way -
No - not what you are thinking. Here are some shots of my current strap projects: Cayman: Big Boa: Iguana: As for the blanks - here is proof of the contrary (son number 2):

If you could own only one Breitling replica... which one & why?
donerix replied to Javelin's topic in The Breitling Area
Has to be the Seawolf: It's quite versatile and looks good on: Rubber Snake Nylon and of course the bracelet you all know. But then again - the SOH is also nice on: Rubber Gator Mesh After all - WHY ONLY HAVE ONE ANYWAY !?! -
Found one more: Destro on self-made stitchless nylon: My favorite summer view - when the sun finally goes down:

It's always summer here .... 104 degrees today .... almost too hot to be honest.

Nobody has any "odd couple" shots? I don't believe that show me your stuff. On RG members came up with some really good ones...

Found one more: Destro on self-made two-piece nylon strap!

I had some spare time and thought I would try out some of my watches with different straps. Here is the result. Should you have any "odd couple" shots please feel free to add them on here. Enjoy: PAM177 Ti with a two-piece nylon bikini: ... and here together with a PAM 243 in a German "Krupp Stahl" mesh outfit: Breitling Seawolf in a James Bond Nato-tuxedo: And last but not least two Breitlings with their hunting trophies: Show some of your unusual combos ...

Looks great. The 252 was never on my radar, you definitely changed that with your nice photos. Enjoy it. Great strap too

Welcome young addict, the lunch money is gone from now on. Enjoy the ride...

Me too !!! No mine is from Trevor, arrived DOA and he immediately offered to send it back and to replace it, but I gave it to a watchsmith who fixed it for $35 and it seems to be running fine now. As for the promised water-proofing: I am rather skeptical, the crownguard lever seems to not push the crown in enough. But I love it anyway and just bought a Seawolf and a PAM 243 which will be my "water watches". The strap goes really well with it (might not come out so well on the pics.

Here is the whole bunch (well uncle PAM 243 is still traveling):

I am at your service anytime... But if you want to take advantage of the 20% discount, you better hurry, because it will only be available until the website launches (I guess the first week of June). Eric More of my work at: http://hamiltonleatherwatchstraps.blogspot.com/

Rick: "Do you offer 24 and 26mm? I can't decide which watch would look best. I guess I'll need to measure the final taper as well. In any case, let the saving up begin." Since all straps are made to order, I can make any size requested. I personally think this strap looks the best wide and straight without taper, but again I can make you any style/size you want. Dutchman:"Dear Eric, what about importing into the EU? After all they are made from a garrobo = large Iguana. Is there any issue with animal protection for endangered species?" I don't think think there is a problem - at least not from my end - since you can buy these materials in many stores throughout the country. Apart from that I think that the shipment should easily fly under the radar due it's size (flat envelope) and low weight. I also have occasional trips to Europe and can bring it and ship it from there. Let me know if you want me to make you a strap. Eric

Micke: Even I wasn't aware of the "magical power" Have to immediately do some hands-on research and then start selling it in another category ( with a 300% mark-up of course......) Thanks for the great feedback again. E. PS: if you really need a jacket I probably have to go into the jungle myself and look for the biggest one out there, but then you probably would have to beat them "lovely ladies" off with a stick..... I definitely want to hang out in your part of town ...

I couldn't wait, so I went home and put some new croc-sandals on her and she really likes them: and now she is enjoying the sunset .... I hope I don't have to mix her a margarita....
