Just thought I show my first prototypes as well. The straps for AP watches are a bI@t.. to make. I forgot the pin so I just pushed a springbar in to hold the strap in place. With the real pin it should have a better fit:

Could use a darker skin, like the one on the middle:

I used to race cars, but didn't earn any money, I used to sell shoes and made good money, I built and owned hotels and made more money. I made beautiful babies and they cost a lot of money. Today I wash dishes, cook, built stuff, own a restaurant and make straps and I don't give a sh.. about money

I am in town over the weekend and brought a bunch of stuff and had some more shipped here (got a Cortebert - I hope it fits). Are any of you guys (and girls) in the neighborhood and up for a little casual GTG (I have never been to one ... ). I used to live here for many years and I can get us a place to meet easily or we can meet at my place (not too big though). Here is what I can bring to the table: Could be fun, even if we are just a few. I am willing to drive, too.

I don't know. Is that one different size? It says Royal Oak Offshore on the back of my Wempe (sorry I am not an AP guy and know nothing about them - except that I really like this one). Don't tell me I have to buy another watch. You could send me the strap you have and I use it as a sample....

I really just bought the AP (it's a cheap 21J) so I had a model to make an AP strap, then my watchman got it to work and now that I put the strap on I took a wrist shot and can't take it off anymore.

I had a piece of Boa left over and finally got around to make some straps for my AP Wempe (thanks gazumi, my watchman even got it to work) and my B&R 01-97 (thanks Brobert): Here are the first two prototypes (I had to hurry a bit so the finish is not my usual quality): I forgot the pins for the AP straps at the shop so I just pushed some springbars in there for the pics - therefor the not sp perfect fit.

It's crocodile (lightly sanded for a vintage look) with beige/offwhite stitiching. This is just got sold. I have another one with black and one with silver-gray stitching. Here is a pic:

I have several hides at the tannery and hope to have them back late next week.

Took some of the straps I finished yesterday and the whole pamily to work and found time to take some pics: I am flying to Miami tomorrow night and will take a bunch of straps. So if you are interested in something - let me know.

Lonestar's mesh is excellent: But houndoggie is correct the smallest you can make it is for a 7" wrist (on the SOH might be even a bit more)
