  1. I still can't see them. Registered at the forum, but searching the thread number has no result. Help please.
  2. I can't see neither the pics nor access the site. Could someone post the pics on this thread please. I am a strapmaker and would love to get a good look at some original style straps. Your help would really be appreciated.
  3. I just sanded mine down (and also removed the engraving), the result id quite good (sorry I am at work and don't have a pic here).
  4. It's actually still the end of my week, but I just felt like posting something. Had no camera with me so the built-in one had to do. Just finished hosting a charity poker tournament and you can stick a fork in me because I am done: Tomorrow is reserved for my new baby:
  5. If you are not in a hurry shipping shouldn't be more than $10 - $12 for a Set of Three and take between 7 - 14 days depending on your location. For all US members: I am going to Miami in a about two weeks and can send then from there. Sorry guys, but we had a region-wide power outage all afternoon. So the 2.0 version won't be shown until tomorrow.
  6. That's cool - just don't forget to send me the royalties (how about one of your watches....)
  7. Morning bump for some more feedback
  8. Thanks for the feedback guys. Lani _ I am sure you have even nicer views at your location. Actually if I could just extend this view 4,800 miles (more or less) I would probably see your place.
  9. Had to work with my carpenters today and when we got done early I played around with two pieces of teak wood and a drawer pull. Here is the result. I will make myself a dozen, but if people are interested I can make more. It is quite practical, stable and affords easy handling of the mounted watch (unlike his flimsy plexi syblings): This prototype is 1.5" wide, after the first feedback over at RG I have decided to make the final version 2" wide so there are no concerns about stability and add wooden plugs for the screw holes. Tell me what you think. Shipping is easy since the whole unit folds down flat:
  10. One more bump
  11. Special Thanks to Medenblick and Calibre over at RG for two great transactions with some great guys. Here they are: RXW MM20 on mildly Vintage Goatskin PAM 225 SLYTECH on Cayman Hornback PAM 233 on Garrobo Flank I shot these in my mum's kitchen at 2:30 AM so excuse the occasional smudge ....
  12. Seawolf in the service of her Majesty: "If Bond would wear a Breitling"
  13. Hmmm - maybe you are right. I just checked and they don't even show a 26mm. I did buy a 24mm - they do look identical. I think it also works because my strap is 5mm, but is so soft that it still goes in with almost no force. I am gonna dig in my PMs and see who I bought it from. maybe he knows the original source.
  14. I bought from a member over at RG, but I think panatime sells them. It's very comfortable
  15. So I took my 217 skippin' through the puddles ....
  16. +1 Count me in. I don't really want to bypass our dealers here, but seeing the watch market is like a dream to me .... Maybe one day...
  17. THANKS
  18. It's goat skin and it is the softest and most comfortable strap I own. I make them. Go to: http://hamiltonleatherwatchstraps.blogspot.com/ to see more of my work. Not at all, I have a 127 as well, but I prefer the 217 since I wear the watch on my right.
  19. While sitting at my computer this afternoon I looked over at my (dirt cheap and I know she is nothing special) PAM 217 I was wearing and which I had bought from a contact in Wuhan and couldn't resist. Had to grab the point'n-shot and do a mini photo shoot. Here is the result. Now I definitely want one of VDB's 6152s (just have to save up for a year)!
  20. Thanks for the advice Corgy - I will follow it. In the meantime I rely on my dog (big dog) and guns and the fact that I live at the end of the world.
  21. Muchas gracias ...
  22. Let's start the week with a classic:
