  1. I just bought this one! It's arriving on Tuesday! :clap2:
  2. Hi! Well, i had been wondering what the legal conequences of buying replicas would be, and now i know. At 8.45 pm it knocked on my door. I opened, and two armed police officers (they are not normally armed in Norway, only on high-risk jobs) entered together with a guy from customs. They were armed with pistols, bulletproof vests and a battering ram. I was arrested and put in a holding cell. I was told i had broken the customs law, but no elaboration on what they meant. After 6 hours in the cell i was brought up to an office. The charge against me was taking a watch out of the country without declaring it! The fact it was a rep didn't factor in. This has inspired me, and i therefore offer a transport service for all Norwegian members who are afraid of customs. They can have it sent to Sweden, and i will pick it up, take it across the border, and mail it domestically. :-)
  3. Hi! I am looking to buy a new rep, and my eyes have fallen on the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. Reading up on it i have found that there are some challenges with this model, like the movement problems that By-Tor mentions in his review. Is there a new and better version out there? Which ones would you recommend? I do need one with a bracelet and not a strap. I have 9.5" wrists and straps wont fit. Thank you!
  4. Hi! I purchased a AP ROO JPM RG from Connie last fall. After using it three times the pusher came off and the clasp broke! I have been trying to get hold of these parts from connie for about 5 months now, and every time i ask her she says she will talk with the factories, but still no luck. The pusher consists of three parts, all three are missing. I have 9.5" wrists and had to have HK Tan make a special strap for me, so the watch including strap and service at Dom's has run me about 1 000 USD, and i cant use it! I have added a picture to show what parts are missing. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.
  5. My lady saw this one and said: "That looks really fetching, the next thime you have usd 40k laying around for no reason you should get it for me, remember that i'll need a Ferrari in a matching color too go with it!" It made for a good lagugh at least...
  6. Hi! As of yet all of my watches are Chronographs. I want to buy a classic watch now, and i have an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in mind. I want one in steel with steel bracelet. I have to special order straps made to measurement, it's expensive and time consuming. What is your personal favourite? What movement should i look for? Are there any special flaws / tell tale signs i should look for? Please includ pictures / links. Thank you!
  7. That's not a problem. Lisa's my girl
  8. Hey Guys! Have you ever seen the commerials for home security systems and alarms? I don't like those, they are noisy and i hate rent-a-cops... Let me present my own theft protection, my fat-tailed Scorpion, Lisa! Anybody tries to steal my watch risks finding out what certain and painful death from the worlds most poisonous scorpion feels like.
  9. Hi! I have a horrible admission to make. I have forgotten to order a few watches that are supposed to be christmas / birthday presents! It may have something to do with it being christmas party season, and working 90 - 110 hours a week, but still, i have something of a problem. I need fast and safe shipping from China to Norway. Any Ideas? Normal EMS (10 workdays) is too slow, and Registred Airmail (15 workdays) will really not do it... I would ofcourse prefer the shipping to cost less than the actual watches... All replies are appreciated! Thank you!
  10. +1 If she wants you to wear a green Swatch with yellow polkadots because it matches her bridesmaids' dresses then that's what you're wearing... One more piece of advise. My Sous Chef got married earlier this year and when asked if there was a particular psalm he'd like in the service he replied: "The only one i can think of at the moment is Nailed to the cross of pain" We both thought it was pretty funny (this was during the planning, not the ceremony it self), but we were the only ones... The bride and her mother were less than impressed one might say. In short never try to make jokes about the wedding or anyting pertaining to it... Congratulations, and may we wish you a long and happy marriage. Enjoy your great day, and may the worst day of your future be like the best day of your past!
  11. Thank you for your advise! I will take it into consideration.
  12. I've had it since January, and i have no problem seeing that he might wonder how much itæs been worn. However there is a prequal to this that you should know. I have this Rolex and a Breitling from Joshua. I was unfortunate and broke the crystal on the breitling this summer. Accidents happen. I also bought a Sinn U1 with a defective clasp. Then i was wearing the daytona and the Bezel and Crystal just fell off! As described in this post: I asked Domenico about fixing the Daytona, but he said it was a production flaw and he couldn't fix it. Then i contacted Joshua and we agreed upon the following: 1. Change the broken crystal in the Breitling 2. Fix the Rolex Daytona 3. Fix the clasp in the Sinn U1 4. Service the movements in all three watches and waterproof them. I asked him to make me a price for all of this and sent the three watches back to China. I got the watches back almost two months later. At no charge. The clasp on the Sinn U1 was fixed and the crystal on the Breitling was changed. Which is nice as i was expecting to pay for a new crystal. However! The Daytona had not been touched and was only wrapped in plastic and returned to me, as described in this post: When i contacted Joshua he confirmed that nothing had been done to the Daytona. He also told me that with the new crystal the breitling was no longer waterproof. I asked for these services to be provided because I can't use non-waterproof watches in the kitchen. According to his website he provides both movement service and waterproofing, and i was willing to pay for this. In the aftermath he has offered to send me a new case that i can put the movement into. I am a Chef, an Executive Chef even, but i do not have the skills to swap movements! I highly doubt that the watch would have stopped if it had been serviced as it was supposed to when it was at Joshua's. We don't send watches half way across the world to have them wrapped in plastic and returned to us...
  13. Just got a reply from Joshua. He wants me to send it to him once more. This translates to 2 months with no watch, and the tiny hope that he actually DOES something this time! He will not accept a swap. Thank God i've changed vendors!
  14. I just sent a mail to Joshua regarding a swap. How does that work? Also. If i am to swap i'd like to swap to a model that wont stop after a few months and very little wear. I have 9.5" wrists, so i need a model with a case that is at least 40 mm diameter. What would you recommend?
  15. Hi! I have a Rolex Daytona working chrono with secs at 6 full red gold from Joshua. A few weeks ago the bezel and crystal just fell off, and now the watch has just stopped. I sent it to Joshua to have it fixed, but he didn't do anything to it other than wrap it in plastic. He's offered me a new case but wtf would i want that for when i don't have the skills to extract the movement and replace the case. Anyhow. The watch has come to a complete stop. It wont start even though i tried to wind it up manually and by shaking the damned watch. No response. I can hear something spinning around inside, but still no action. Help! Please!
  16. I'm really feeling the Panerai with the poker dial! Never seen anything like it before. How big is the case?
  17. Please accept our sincere condolences in this time of mourning.
  18. I do love this Sub, but all the ones i have found have the end-link flaw where the sides aren't plated. You know of anybody who does this the right way?
  19. What is your best TT watch? I like the TT Subs, but they all seem to come with that annoying end-link flaw where they don't plate the sides of the endlinks. I am looking to buy a TT, what would you recommend? I want it to be sporty looking, and 40+ mm case. I have 9.5" wrists, so anything smaller looks like a lady's watch. Please include pictures! Thank you!
  20. Hi! I am looking to make a frankenwatch. Not quite sure which one i want, but it will be good. Only one problem... I have NO idea where to go to find genuine parts! Some help here please? Thank you!
  21. Hi! I just bought this Vacheron Constantin Patrimony from Connie for a friend of mine. I love that it is plain and simple. I had Connie service the movement as well. It all came to a plesant usd 335. And this is a watch my friend can wear for years without problems.
  22. Anybody know somebody reping this series? I don't see the problem. They should even be quartz based.
  23. What truly aggravates me about this case is that i DID send the watch all the way to China to Joshua. He HAS has it in his store. I ASKED him to fix the Rolex, fix the clasp on the Sinn, change the crystal on the Breitling replace the missing screw in the bracelet. Waterproof and service the movements of all three watches. He said it would be done! Look: Email from me to Joshua: Dear Joshua! 1. Breitling for Bentley Flying B. This needs new glass. If you have a watchmaker that can service the movement and make sure that the watch is waterproof then i want that too. Also the bracelet needs service. It is missing one screw and the clasp needs to be looked at. 2. Rolex Daytona Check the Bezel. I was showing the watch to a friend and the bezel and crystal just fell off! This needs to be fixed. I would like to have this movement serviced as well and made sure that the watch is water proof. 3. Sinn The clasp on the strap is missing something, so it wont lock. This needs to be fixed, and there is something strange with the movement. Please check it out. It might need service. I haven't used this watch at all. I also need this watch to be water proof. All three watches are bought from perfect clones. Please look through what i have written, and see what you are able to fix / do. I would like a response by e-mail with the price for it all including shipping with EMS back to Norway. Thank you! With regards, S.... B...... His response by e-mail: Hi, Noted . i will attend to them. joshua Then he does NOTHING to the Rolex other than wrap it in plastic, and now he wants me to be happy with a case set which i in no way have the skills to replace? Joshua has been called a trusted vendor, and he HAS delivered the watches i have ordered, but in this case his behavior is ANYTHING but trustworthy. It's also kinda amusing that this happened after he got his "quality check procedures in place" And finally please note from my e-mail that i wasn't looking for a "freebe" If somebody provides me a service i will pay them. This e-mail is pretty amazing: Hi, The watches are tested before I send them back .. it is all working.. Sinn.. Yours is a Asian movt.. It will definitely not be sweeping as smooth as a Swiss 28800bph watch .. The watch is also big at 43mm.. Bezel for daytona .. it is a fixed bezel.. What is wrong with this.. Can you show me a pic Bentley ...Bracelet I do not replaced cos it is wear and tear item... I cannot replace such items.. There is nothing wrong with the movt.. I have tested it and it is running ..The crystal is machine placed at the factory .. When crystal breaks and replaced.. Waterproofing warranty automatically void.. I did not test for waterproofing .. Let me know further.. joshua He actually claims that the watches were tested before they were sent back. which, when looking at the picture of the Rolex means, that they are either liars or blind as bats! I'm thinking they're not bats... Waterproofing is a service they sell at Perfect Clones. HQ20001 Waterproofing for watches. I wouldn't mind paying usd 150 to have 3 watches waterproofed. I DO mind being told that NONE of the watches are waterproof, and that i can't use them at work because they might get wet when i wash my hands.
  24. You da man for sure Hike, but if i'm not terribly mistaken CONUS is the continental US, and i am in Norway, Europe. Thank you ever so much for the offer, but i think customs make it too risky. Once again thank you for the offer
  25. I don't want to be a harda.. here, but that sounds like something a watchmaker should do, not a chef... Is the process complicated?
