  1. Hi! I have a Rolex Daytona FG/RG working chrono with secs at 6 from Joshua. The bezel and crystal just fell off. I contacted Domenico, and he didn't want to touch it because it had to be a production error. I sent an e-mail to joshua explaining the problem, and he told me to send the watch to him. I got it back 45 days later and the only thing that had been done was that it had been wrapped in plastic. I contacted him again by e-mail and now he wants to send me a case set. I may come off sounding like an idiot here, but what is a case set? What can i do with it? I am a chef and my technical skills regarding watches ends at adapting bracelets. Will this case set fix my problem, or is it just a step on the way to fixing it? I'll be damned before i incur more expenses sending this watch all round the world for nothing. The attached image is pretty bad, but it shows that the number 60 on the bezel is off by at least 4 mm. Joshua was unable to see this when he had the watch in china to be fixed....
  2. Besides, regarding fixing the bezel... Your not really supposed to be able to pop the bezel and crystal off like the cap on a pill glass, are you? Domenico, who is a trusted watchsmith here didn't want to take the Rolex in for repair, because he says it has to be production error, and anything he does will be a temporary fix. Un-cool!
  3. Well, this seriously makes me loose trust in Joshua as a so called trusted dealer. Trusted dealers are supposed to deliver the products and services they advertise or promise. Especially when this has been agreed upon in writing. If i had been told that he couldn't provide the service, then i would have no problem accepting that, but this is just f... up!
  4. Ok, let's do this chronologically. 1. I bought the Rolex Daytona FG /RG from Joshua in january. I was happy with it until the Bezel and crystal (they're stuck together) just fell off. I asked Domenico and he said it had to be production error. 2. I contacted Joshua, and asked him what could be done. He told me to send him the watch and he'd have it fixed. I live in Norway. 3. I also had a Breitling and a Sinn from Joshua. The Breitling had the glass broken by accident and it was missing a screw in the bracelet, and the clasp on the sinn was flawed upon arrival. We agreed to send all three watches back. 4. The production error on the rolex was going to be fixed. The glass and the bracelet on the Breitling was going to be fixed. The clasp on the Sinn was going to be fixed. All three watches was supposed to have their movements serviced and be waterproofed. This was agreed upon. 4. The glass in the Breitling is replaced, and the Sinn has a new clasp. I have no way of telling if the movements have been serviced, and i don't dare test if they have been waterproofed, but i highly doubt that this has been done as the crystal / bezel on the rolex hasn't been fixed. 5. I wasnt charged anything for this. Which i found astonishing. First i thought that this was one more story of incredible service from Joshua, but instead it's a story of things NOT being done! I asked them by e-mail if they were able to execute these services for me, and told them to come up with a price for the total service package. They said they would do this, and they have not delivered! 6. One could argue that i should be happy they fixed the glass in the breitling for free. It was undoubtedly my fault that it broke, but i am not. I cannot go to any local ad or watchmaker with these watches. I sent them on the 3rd of September and got them back on the 20th of October. Risking them being taken by customs in both countries. I would have gladly paid for the glass, service and waterproofing, instead i'm left here with two watches that i can't use as i'd like for lack of confirmed water proofing, and a rolex i can't wear because it looks fake enough for a 5 year old to tell with the bezel misplaced. It is worth mentioning that the misplacement is big enough to be eye-catching, and that if they had taken even a glance at the watch they would have noticed! The only thing i can really tell that they have done with the rolex is wrap it in plastic! This S U C K S!!!
  5. Hi! I just got my Rolex Daytona back from Joshua. I sent it to be fixed when the Bezel and crystal fell off while it was on my wrist. I put it back on before i sent it. Now i get the watch back and the number 60 on the bezel does NOT align with the 12 o'clock position!
  6. I saw this on the latest episode of Spooks. Really loved the TT bracelet. Any idea as to what it is? Liked what little i saw of the watch as well.
  7. Hi! I am about to buy a rep for my lady. She knows it's a rep, but she doesn't want her friends to know. Income wise we can defend a gold watch with some bling, it needs to come with a good box as well. She is blonde, 5'7'' and about 120 lbs. We attend some functions and she also works as a hostess at the restaurant at times. She wans a dress watch, not a sports watch of any kind. I am also looking to buy a watch for everyday use for her. If somebody has something for sale, please PM me with pictures. Thank you!
  8. I do love your collection, but unless the girl is braindead or under severe silicone poisoning you'd need a 2 mill house to defend that collection. It's not somebody in a 2 room studio would have...
  9. The bad thing about this is that they show how watches are sent to us. The good thing though is that the reasons given for the rep to be bad are ridiculous. How many here has a Sinn or a DSSD? How may of you are going to dive down to 2000 + meters? If that was the case than you would buy the gen... Also it is pointed out that the steel isn't real German u-boat steel.... WOW!!!! REALLY??? So what you are saying is that weapons grade steel is NOT being sold to China in order to make reps? And i mean really... i can tell the difference at least a MILE away... just by glancing, i can say: "That's not real U-boat steel!" Mainly because i have an iq of more than 2 and i know that a rep actually is a rep....
  10. Looks kinda like a blinged out Breitling i guess... Any educated guesses?
  11. i did a measurement and it has to be 16 mm. I do not have a springbar though. Is it possible to buy one from a local watchmaker? Does it have to be Rolex? Do i need an AD? Edit: I really should add that i contacted Connie about this and she is sending the necessary springbars by mail today. Her response was quick and professional as always. I would however like to know if it is possible to buy this locally. It shouldn't cost too much and it would make the watch wearable. Mail from China does take 10 - 14 days. Thank you!
  12. Hi! I received this Submariner Full Gold, Noobfactory edition from Connie. There is something missing in the latch. I did notice that the patent is quite different from the SS and TT bracelet latches. Please advise me what is missing, and if this is the correct latch for Submariner FG. It is worth mentioning that this is a Noobfactory edition http://www.kingshowbox.com/goods.php?id=2856 I have attached some pictures to illustrate. As my dear lady decided to baptize our SLR camera this weekend with an ample amount of white wine the pics are taken with my cell phone. Please excuse the quality.
  13. Hi! I am sorry to hear about his friend, and i don't really mind waiting. I just hope that the watch is picked up before it gets returned. Also i am still looking for the German site where i can trace the package. Any input on this would be most appreciated. Thank you.
  14. Hi! I have sent my watch to Domenico to be serviced. I sent it from Sweden to Germany which is within the EU. I have not gotten any kind of confirmation from Domenico about him picking it up, and when i check the tracking from Sweden it comes up with arriving in Germany on the 22nd of sept. and no more info. I have tried sending numerous e-mails to domenico, but i have received no reply... I am getting worried now... Do you know how to trace a package in Germany? It's sent as registered air-mail. I have written to Domenico in German. There may have been some minor grammatical errors, but nothing big enough to make my questions difficult to answer... Any and all help would be much appreciated! Thank you!
  15. @ASCIWhite Gotta say i think you may have had bad luck. I got a watch through customs from China that arrived today. It could be something with the packaging as well.
  16. You did read the part about this being at Costco? In Norway we have a commercial from a HIFI specialist that says: "I don't want to buy my stereo from a guy selling washing maschines!" It's a good saying... As for the 25 yr old Macallan, we serve it at my restaurant. We sell 4cl for about 110 usd... And it's REALLY good single malt. I personally prefer the more rich and crude taste of the island whiskys like Lagavulin and Laphroaig, but as far as highland single malts go it's definitely the best
  17. I would like to thank you for the tip, but i'm afraid it's not a model that i'll buy. i think it looks cheap to be quite honest with you. Maybe if it came in rose gold...
  18. I will look into that one! I have been using a Daytona that's 41 mm for a while. It looks ok on my wrist, so 40 mm should be ok. 37 mm might be too small. Thank you!
  19. I would like to buy a dress watch, and i am thinking Patek Philippe. My challenge is that i have a 9.5" wrist. I recently purchased a AP ROO Montoya from Connie, and i'm currently having HK Tan (Aaron) make me a custom strap. So i am able to get proper straps, but a normal dress watch looks like i've taken one of my lady's watches and put on. it simply looks too small! Any ideas? All suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you!
  20. I have to confess to being somewhat torn. 1. As far as scamming goes, one could make the argument that i scam people every time i put on my rep and let people believe that it is genuine. Although many of us appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into making a truly stunning high-end replica, i do not believe i am alone in enjoying the gazes from people who think i'm actually wearing a 6 months salary on my wrist. 2. I do recent scamming people for profit and prying on uninformed buyers. Caveat Emptor only goes so far. Without the belief that people and businesses are ultimately good and honest our whole society structure falls apart. There would be no credits given, no good faith dealings, no good will built in companies, and things just wouldn't work. Those who pray on the weak and uninformed should be punished severely. As for those who pray on people who SHOULD know better, but who's judgement is clouded by greed i say: Right on! Go for it! I don't like greed, and i don't like people who take advantage of other people's misfortune for personal profit. 3. As for the watch that is being sold on eBay. Yes, it is a fake, but do we know for real that the seller knows this? Are we sure that he has a malicious intent? I'd like to play devils advocate for a moment and say that somebody who is out to fool a buyer would use a better rep, probably mix in a photo of a genuine, and correct the facts about the watch. I propose that the salesman, the son of the owner, might very well believe that this watch is real. Would a son who doesn't know much about watches doubt his father? Food for thoughts. Have a nice weekend! I'm off to work soon
  21. It's kinda strange though... I mean, this guy is known for his taste for luxery. And with his media exposure, he is no doubt the most famous chef in the world, it shouldn't be a problem to get some freebees from the manufacturers. I love the yellow dial.
  22. Hi! I saw an episode of Hell's Kitchen today, and other than it occurring to me that they REALLY need to do a better job selecting candidates, I also noticed Gordon Ramsey's watch. I am thinking Breitling mysef, but then again i've been known to be wrong... All answers are much appreciated!
  23. Hi! A friend of mine is looking to buy this watch. It's being sold as a genuine watch. What is your take on this? Is it a genuine? I think the writing on the back is off, but then again i'm no expert...
  24. Press RWG in the top left corner. Scroll down to Watches, clothing & Accessories You will find this watch at Joshua, Andrew, Kingwatch and probably many other dealers who are listed in this section.
