  1. It's Noobmariner Christmas weekend.
  2. I dropped my Seiko SNX427 to tile floor from a height of more than 4 feets just 3 days after buying it, and amazingly, besides some little scratch, the mineral glass and watch is still intact and giving me COSC timing (within 5 sec/day). Amazing robustness which I'm not sure we can find in other higher priced Swiss watches.
  3. Submariner lookalike - Seiko SKX031 Seamaster lookalike - Seiko SNZ389
  4. If unlimited budget,... I'd love to own this. IWC Grande Complication
  5. If you happen to be in an area known for high crime rate, would you still wear your favorite rep, or you'd wear a less branded watch (whether rep or not) to avoid being mugged?
  6. Let's start the ball rolling,... what's on your wrist beginning this week. Noobmariner for me this week.
  7. Speedmaster for me this weekend...
  8. Which one would you consider the classic watch of all time? IMHO, I think it's a close call between Submariner, Omega Speedmaster Pro and IWC Mark XI. All are legendary with colorful history and story to tell. If I have to choose one as the classic watch of all time, then probably it will be the Sub.
  9. I thought this would have been asked before, but anyway, here's another poll again to reflect the latest trend. Strap or Bracelet?
  10. With the big watch trend, everyone including myself seem to be going for bigger and bigger watch. But as I am small built, I have quite small wrist which is only slightly less than 6 inch. One of my favorite is the Seiko Pilot SNX427 which is only 35mm. Very small by most standards... This is the wrist shot. What do you think? Does this watch look small or it's just right size proportion to my small wrist?
  11. I have never heard of Asia ETA. Is this the latest from China? Found this in perfect clone's beginmariner. Any comment on this Asia ETA? How's is it compared to the normal ETA movement?
  12. OK, this is not a rep but a very affordable gen. The size is a bit small (35mm) based on the current big watch trend. But it's still looks cool. Though not exactly the same design, but it could be the best gen of the Poor's Man IWC Mark XI below $100. What do you think of this watch?
  13. Sure I'll agree PAM is here to stay. Clean, simple and uncluttered design -- classic!
  14. There seems to be fewer posts on Panerai recently compared to a few months ago. Is PAM still hot among forumers here, or is it because of the Omega PO fever due to Casino Royale?
  15. I found the best and it's not offered by any of the dealers here, but offered by Officine Panerai.
  16. Here's the link, the model is the Limited 20 July 1969 Moon Watch edition Trustytime Omega Professional Limited edition non-working subdial
  17. Trustytime has Speedmaster Pro with non-working subdial. This watch looks good but the subdials are dummy. What do you think of this watch?
  18. I read somewhere in Paneristi forum that Radiomir (PAM183, PAM190, PAM210) is loosing its lustre and are loads onto the selling blocks. Do you feel the same trend in your area? I still feel that Radiomir especially PAM190 is one real classic watch.
  19. I have always like Sub, it has the classic design. It's THE watch. But recently, the Panerai bug has got hold of me. I find myself more and more attracted to Panerai design. Would a PAM183 be a better daily watch as compared to Submariner? PAM183 has the elegance, but may be more of a good dress watch. But Sub has the classic design which I think is suitable for daily wear. Which one would you choose as your daily watch - Sub or PAM183?
  20. I'll choose: - sports / casual watch : Omega Speedmaster Pro - dress watch : Panerai Radiomir Blackseal - beater : any Seiko
  21. Which is your "ideal ultimate" watch : - sports / casual watch - dress watch - beater
