I was offered to trade this Explorer 1. Need expert opinion on this watch before I decide. Is there anything wrong with this watch? What do you think? Thanks.

In Chinatown Kuala Lumpur, Rolex reps can be found as low RM60 (app. $17.40), but they're crap and nothing compared to those high grade rep found here. I have personally seen and touch these POS, and some cannot even hack. I'm sure that piece in shown in TZ is not ETA. However, like Bangkok, good reps can also be found in Kuala Lumpur, but they definitely cost much more, with much work and patience.

Sad day for rep collectors... It's time to use anonymous hosting based in countries like Panama.

I like the design of Explorer - clean & classic design. In fact, I am thinking of getting one.... but I'm quite concern and worried abt the 36mm diameter being too small, as I am so used to wearing Sub and Speedy Pro which is 40mm and 42mm respectively. Do you think Explorer I at 36mm is small in view of the bigger watch trend nowadays?

Is the board is fast losing its original direction!

I'm "giving up" reps, and will not be buying any new reps until these problems get worked out.

Still wearing the new Seiko "Pilot" watch I bought recently.

I bought it online thru the lelong.com.my , Malaysia's version of ebay. But you can also get Seiko 5 from ebay for about the same price - there are many dealers from Singapore dealing with Seiko autos watch. I have dealt with some of them, quite good service.

This is not a rep, but since it has a very interesting sub-military dial and one of the most interesting that I've seen recently, I'm sharing it here. I have stopped buying watches (both rep and gen) for a while now but I just couldn't resist this '5' when I spotted 2 days ago. The thing that caught my attention was the 6-9-12 dial like Explorer 1, which I have never seen featured on a '5' before. It also looks like IWC Mark XVI (with its flieger hands),... and at only $54 delivered, it's great watch at great price!! It sure looks great on croc strap. Seller's pic. On croc strap.

I used to have more than 10 reps at one time but have since sold all but the speedy. So, this adds up to 2815.

It's Chinese New Year weekend, and Omega Speedmaster will be my watch for this festive season.

I'll re-phrase the question. I'm not referring to any watches that MUST be in anybody's collection,... one man's meat is another man's poison.... What I meant was which watches are widely considered to be "classics" among forumers here as WIS? IMHO, I'll put Omega Speedmaster Pro and Rolex Sub for their long history. Which other watches would you consider "classics" that you'd put in your collection?

Which watches are widely considered to be "classics" among WIS? I believe many would probably agree that Omega Speedmaster and Rolex Sub are watches that all WIS "must have" in their collection. What other watches do you consider to be "classics" and to be included in your collection as a WIS? (I'm referring to both rep or gen).

My Asian 21j SMP with faux chrono has very little wrist time, as I was worried about its water resistance. Wow,... your test proves that if these replicas can withstand Han Solo treatment, it should be able to take normal water splashes and rain without any problem.
