  1. Yes, there is some very cheap craps. This one is found on a Malaysian auction website. Only selling at RM68 (appr. $ 22), real cheap,... but I wouldn't touch it.
  2. This week starts with DRSD.
  3. I want this repped...
  4. Interesting setup and nice tripod! Presently, all my photos are taken next to the window to get full natural light. I find the pictures tend to be sharper in natural light. I must try some of the ideas here...
  5. I guess this is not new and some member already knew about Antiquorum database. But for anyone else who hasn't visited this Antiquorum website and would like to know how much their rep vintage would cost in the real world, try Antiquorum database for an estimate. hxxp://catalog.antiquorum.com/catalog.html ( change the hxxp:// to http:/ ) There was an article on WSJ recently on possible inflating the bidding price by the watch manufacturers themselves, but anyway, I guess this is still a good indicative on the market price for vintage watches. Now,.... my DRSD could worth as high as $20,000
  6. ha, ha,... Jetmid, TRL,... those were the days.... Who has the best Thin Line?
  7. wow,.. lots of rollies this weekend. I'll be wearing my 5513 too.
  8. Great beauty. Makes me want one too.
  9. I've decided to pull the trigger on this. Bought it from a friend, the same guy who sold me his DRSD. He told me he bought both of them from Kuala Lumpur Chinatown but later realized that vintage just wasn't his cup of tea. It seems to be the same one that Paul and Silix are selling. True enough, the printing on the dial is yellowish, and the pearl is lousy. And the crown guard seems too wide. I changed the bracelet to a riveted type, that comes with my DRSD (photo is the original bracelet before I changed to riveted type). The case size is slightly smaller than my DRSD. Must be around 38mm. Time keeping is wonderful, average +9 sec per day. Since I bought it at a huge discount from my friend, despite all the "inaccuracies", I've got no complain and will be using it as my weekend beater.
  10. Just came across my mind and wonder if Jetmid could be lurking around this forum with another name?
  11. Wednesday and Thursday
  12. The history of RWG/RWG1 would not be complete without Jetmid.
  13. My favorite purchase/favorite watch of 2007, without doubt, is my DRSD. Honorable mentions include.... Planet Ocean 42mm and my new 5513 (just bought it last week).
  14. My rep collection has changed a lot the past few years. From more than 20 reps at one time, it has gone down to only one earlier this year, and now my rep collection has increased to include more and more classics and vintages, like Speedy Pro, DRSD and 5513. So perhaps I'm a classic type.
  15. This week is 5513 week...
  16. My new 5513 with 369 dial.
  17. Is there any 5513 with 369 dial like the photo below? If not, then what model is it?
  18. Back to my classic DRSD for Monday and Tuesday.
  19. After weeks on DRSD and PO (and a broken Speedy), now I'm back on Seiko Pilot for the week.
  20. Arhg,... I'm feeling angry and depressed... The pin on the folding clasp on my Speedy just got broken. I've had the watch for slightly more than a year but hardly worn it due to lack of date. I know I can always put a strap on and Speedy will still look good with strap, but due to the hot weather in my country, most of my watches are steel bracelet. I've bought many reps, but this is the first rep that gives me problem on the bracelet.
  21. After 2 weeks on my PO, I'm switching back to this classic for the weekend.
  22. still the same...
  23. After taking it out for Thursday, this goes back on my wrist again on Friday. And likely for the next few days.
