  1. yes, certainly looks that way. however, the pan..isti write, that the 243 is due in december at the earliest.
  2. wait, the lefty is not a 243 lefty. the 243 has the 1950 case, the lefty (PAM 239, limited to 75 pcs) has the luminor case. here's an article on the 239 LINK and again, i don't think the 243 (genuine) has reached the ADs yet, but i'm not sure.
  3. sadly i have to agree! however, that is going to change, starting march '07, when this baby is released. stainless steel; 45mm; 24mm lugwidth; Sellita SW200 (swiss made, very similar to ETA 2824); AR coated saphire crystal; two shades of SL on dial; antimagnetic inner core ... a version with orange dial will also be available: a valjoux 7750 chrono will follow shortly after. a limited edition 1000m is being considered.
  4. well, who knows. until the genuine 243 actually gets released we won't know for sure.
  5. i can drink as much beer at work as i like … but i prefer wine … bugger..
  6. yep, the one and only. limited, one time run of 59 pcs. they were sold out before production started.
  7. wearing my new MBW Militare on 26/22 pam rubber. almost too small after sporting the chronozilla for so long
  8. 45mm, saphire, swiss unitas and limited to 59 pcs. as far as i know they're allready sold out.
  9. congratulations, gorgeous watch! i was lucky to get #010/059. hasn't left my wrist since it arrived.
  10. the 087 is the watch that turned me on to watches. very tempted to get it, but i have a feeling, that the 243 (I-series 1000m sub with 1950 case) is also just around the corner. and that would be the ultimate sub for me besides the 202.
  11. and this is a godd place to get it. or try Helvetica, since Swiss is a bastard clone derived from Helvetica. as is Arial btw.
  12. it should actually say "NOT SWISS NO"
  13. i just got an email from quality replicas as well regarding a fiddy with top specs for 320.00. what makes me wonder though is the email address he used. it is one that is only known to some dealers that have received money from me through pp. since i don't think that its one of the dealers from the boards, that it could be an ebay seller known by some as dragon or drag1280. i've bought a panny rubber deploy strap from him, so he has my email address through pp. maybe someone should write him and ask if he's QR. he was a pleasure to deal with and might be a nice addition to the dealer section. oh btw, he's offering what looks to be the watchhonpo 187 with engravedd he-valve.
  14. i looooooove dive watches, especially the dreadnought. tough to get one, as there where only 200 made, sold out almost instantly. german watchmaker Jacques Etoile offer a very similar model, pretty much a copy of the dreadnought. sells for around 1,800 USD. here's a link: Jacques Etoile Atlantis my favorite is currently the Rasmus by Nautische Instrumente Mühle Glashütte: also love the Lindburgh & Benson Aquamatic, especially this model:
  15. looky here the also make the nauticfish btw
  16. current favorite albums: fink > biscuits for breakfast archive > lights placebo > meds zero 7 > the garden pearl jam > pearl jam helmet > size matters elbow > leaders of the free world all time favorite: talk talk > laughing stock anxiously awaiting: muse > black holes and revelations
  17. there was an asian auto rep of this aquatimer, andrew had one for grabs sometime last year. unfortunately i was too slow to grab it. i really like this particular model as well. i'm pretty positive that we'll see a a rep of it soon, especially with all the new IWC reps hitting the market lately.
  18. 202 for me! love the bezel and the look and feel of titanium. missing date is no problem but i could do without the slytech on the dial and especially sly's signature on the caseback.
  19. '72 Triumph TR6 '92 Saab 900 Aero-S that was before my son arrived. now its a Renault RX4 2.0 Luxe ... nice, but boring to drive.
  20. hey, i made 3rd along with bazz congrats to CJ and thanks to veni for the nice idea and for setting this up!
  21. thanks for supplying yet another well written, informative ... well ... piece of information! i visited the local planetarium yesterday. it was cloudy outside and my re-lumed fiddy (c/o palpatine) was under my sleeve. but once the lights where dimmed to almost complete darkness, everyone in the facility knew/saw where i was sitting due to the glow of my sandwich dial. and i did not purposely charge the thing before going there. so, i can definately confirm what The Zigmeister has written above.
