  1. Bravo Neil... :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I think your shots suit their purpose perfectly, it's a completely different application.

Technical photography compared to 'art' photography is like comparing oranges and elephants, you just can't do it.

Those shots the guy made on the other forum are nice and artsy, but I'd probably never buy a watch from them, the exact inverse applies to Neil's shots, except sometimes they're just too good

  2. First thing for me would be some quality control... there's no reason whatsoever for mis-aligned date wheels, crowns that don't pull out far enough, etc etc that just add to everyone's time and aggravation... There's just no need for it... It not only hurts the customers, but the dealers as well.

Second for meis the lume... Every watch I buy (mainly Panerai) have [censored]-poor lume and they need to go out. I'd be very happy to pay extra.

Third is REAL AR coating... I'd be happy to pay extra for that too.

If I liked gold, that would be one area that needs to be addressed too, but I don't so I'll let the gold lovers here to blow that horn.

I don't know how much weight we have in the overall scheme of things to really make the manufacturers sit up and listen, but I'll bet the dealers have some pull here.

I'd like to hear from them and see what their thoughts are on these issues... Whadya think?

  3. well, some ppl tend to intolerant when it comes to cartoons and makin fun of stuff.

Like the voice of chef. for 9 season he made fun of ALL religions. then it came to scientology, HIS religion, and suddenly he said "wait a minute, what you do is crapoly, I quit!" but he didnt have hard feelings about makin fun of jews muslims and christians!

Bend over slayer, wish is a wish... :bangin:

That was HIM saying that in the video, which is funny due to the context and HIS REPUTATION...

YOU saying it, on the other hand, isn't funny... it's just plain offensive. Get a clue...

In regards to knives... If you don't like 'em... don't buy 'em. Same with forks and spoons :whistling:

  4. thats why UK's gun control is for the ass. if they dont have guns to shot ppl or to threaten them, they use knifes.

ppl are more likely to stab someone else, than to shot him, because shoting makes a lot of noise, stabbing doesnt. with a gun in your hand, you dont even have to shot someone, he'll hand over his jew gold in a heartbeat!

... jew gold... South Park or not, I find that totally offensive... what a tool :whistling:

  5. I *wish* I could mod watches, but they are so small and my fingers are sooo fat, and my eyes are that bad... I'm just plain scared :Jumpy:

Bought a dremel for my ultra razor sharp Inge and was able to soften the edges on the bottom... so that gave me some confidence.

Next purchase will be one of those desk magnifiers with the built in lights, a set of files, and maybe a nice sub to go to town on

Who's got the best sub for modding??

  6. They have one of these road shows happening here in Melbourne next week too!!

The salesman invited me and took my address down last weekend, but haven't received it as of yet. It will be great to see some othere pieces here, as usually the Panerai stock is pretty dismal.

I say wear a nice Rolex so they can bring you over to the dark side LOL!!

    Tell us how it goes!

  7. Thanks guys, it's really a beauty and it's growing on me even more since I put it on... Almost got in an accident earlier and there was no beautiful girl walking down the street involved

i like it more than the 063 but less than my 029...from all of the gmt pams...the 029 is the best looking!

The 029 is nice too, I have one, although it's going to need some of finepics' magic to bring it to the point I'll be happy. The center seconds on the 029 doesn't do much for me, but maybe after a new cyclops, relume and crown I'll begin to feel the love that's never quite been there :g:

Aww u bugger. Finally arrived safely eh? Looks absolutely fantastic! Gotta see it first-hand. HourGlass? Yay or nay? Have not received confirmation yet. Oh yes before I forget, a BIG congrats to you on this marvellous piece!

Drinks on Friday in the city Q :thumbsupsmileyanim: Haven't heasrd back from those guys yet, I'll be calling soon :whistling:

  8. I decided to go the other route, after receiving my 195 from Davidsen, and ordering another dial for relume, I finally ordered a standard 005 dial from one of our dealers and had it relumed...

The standard dials are thicker than Davidsens, so we had to bend the hands very slightly upwards so the whole stack would clear.

Also, the 005 dials are made from his vintage models, where there are troughs made so lume can be filled in, which is not correct for the 005 dial. 005 dials should be flat.

All in all, I am very happy with this watch now, it glows like crazy, the AR is beautiful, the CG is very tight, and the crown is excellent (although I am waiting for a Palp crown for it as well):

  9. you can find them online in the low 5's - so - how bout it guys - one of the dealers want to submit this to a factory? :)

Sounds like you had an awesome trip! Can't wait to see more :thumbsupsmileyanim:

This is one of my favourite watches as well, if I was in the market for a genuine dress, this would be my hands down choice by a long shot...

It is everything watches for me, from the shape of the case, the dial, to the open window... and the movement is the indisputed best chrono on the production market.

For making a rep of this, unfortunately I don't believe they would come close, the movement makes this watch and I can't see them coming out with that in the near future.

The prices on this watch is not unreasonable at all... Here's a bunch for sale:

  10. These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. It's worth reading to the end!
