just get one of BK-datewheel-overlays and the correct 2,5mm gasket for the crystal.
or do you mean the metal retaining ring ? there was one batch that needed to shaved down ... otherwise the insert would pop out while installing
cheers,
Frank
Euromariner was the first Sub with gen like construction
you have to remove the bezel first with some watchmaker-knife - when the retaining ring is out -
the gasket and crystal are free and easy to remove.
crystal swap is easy - you don't need to remove the movement -
you only need an crystal press to get the bezel back on
just search "Euromariner" and all your questions will be answered
somewhere here you find a pic how the gen assembly looks like : *Euro*
at the moment i have a gen crystal with cousins gasket in a WM 1.5 Sub installed - no sanding was necessary ...
cheers,
Frank
thanks ! black yes - i already have a black insert on the way ;)as for the hand-set: i have trouble finding any hands for the ETA-movement - tried even the GTM-hand for 1570 - does not fit ...
the original case is a little too fat on the hips
you can see it on my 1655 pics.
here is where you have to start :
i don't recommend the Dremel for this job ! but Domenico insisted
i went later with sandpaper all over the case and the CGs too , but will have to wait till the gen crown is fitted
to see the end-results better ...
here is the case naked :
cheers,
Frank
the dial is again from ebay - got it for a very good price - had some marks on it that where fixed with matte spray
the bezel assembly you can see on the first pic at page 1 - basically a gen-like construction ...
one more update :
now 1675 !
new dial
gen crown does not fit on the tube - need to find a new tube -
did some bleaching experiments
thinking about a real GMT-movement
cheers,
Frank
